I'm goin' to Target (me saying "Target" with a French accent-- pronounced "Tar-jay") 10/12/2007

I mainly go to Target to check out the latest in Women's fashion, particularly the "GO International" collection, which consists of clothes designed by up-and-coming fashion designers. Most of the designers in this collection put out clothes that are decent to stylish. They're stylish by appearance (although the quality isn't as great as the Real McCoys), but they don't hurt your wallet like most independent/high-end designer clothes. If you want designer clothes at a reasonable price, always go for the ones that are made for stores for the masses/the not-so economically privileged. So far, I like Proenza Schouler, Libertine, and Alice Temperley. I think they've covered a lot British and French fashion. I'm wondering if they'll ever put out a collection by an Italian designer. I also like some clothes by Izaac Mizrahi, Mossimo (being a 20 something and still fitting into junior clothes amazes me) and Merona. I can proudly say that Target is the store where I get most of my shoes. I like the designs that are put out by Xhileration and Izaac Mizrahi. I don't like Mossimo so much because their pumps don't provide a natural arch for me. Other than clothes, I also shop for food, cosmetics (I go on the lookout for items such as ones for the L'Oreal HIP collection), home decor (I love Target's take on modernism), and holiday paraphernalia. These items are affordable and useful for me. The store associates are friendly and helpful, especially when I go to the fitting room to try on the clothes. There is plenty of parking there versus the nearby shopping center (South Street Plaza). In worse case scenarios (if I have to go the South Street Plaza), then I have to park closer to Target. There are two Target stores in my area. I mainly go to the one on South Street since it's a bigger store than the one on Bloomfield Ave. I also check out the Target Store in the relatively new Ameridge Heights Shopping Center in Fullerton. It's not too crowded and there's a large selection of items. Other than that, Target always puts a smile on my face because I always get great deals on my purchases. more
