These people are crooks 9/28/2007

I bought a stackable washer and dryer set from Direct Buying Service in Seattle, when they delivered it the washer was defective on delivery, the delivery boys told me "we'll either fix it tomorrow or we'll bring you a new one". I didn't hear from the store for one day so I called them, the creep dressed like Elvis answered and I told him I'd been delivered a defective washer on delivery and he told me "your issue is with the manufacturer, so you don't need to call here" and he slammed the phone down on me. I made repeated phone calls to Direct Buying Service over several days and was hung up or ignored and so after starting the charge-back process on the credit card that I used to pay for it, the owner, Jim Friedman, called me and kept putting me at bay. He told me he would have a replacement sent the next day, and the next day came and he did not and when I called him he had one excuse after another and another and another. I finally had to call a Whirlpool repair company from over in Redmond and it took them three weeks to come out and fix the brand new machine. And all after the crooked owner of Direct Buying Service put me at bay for three weeks. This was the most nightmarish experience of my life. I also had to send away for complaint forms from the Attorney General. This was just awful. Don't buy from them, take your business elsewhere. They're crooks. more
