The Tropical Lagoon is a small aquarium store hidden on Georgia Ave. Where do I begin? The store is very overrun with aquariums; it's as if they had to compensate for the small space but tossing in as many tanks as possible. The selection of fish is very slim once you get past all the algae and slim on the glass. The saltwater section is a joke, they over charge for half dead coral frags, and the health frags are infested with red worms. I've only been to this store once, and I'll do everything in my power to keep it that way.

I frequent Sullivan’s at least twice a month; I can’t seem to get enough of the down to earth atmosphere and great food. The menu is pretty simple, burgers, steaks, chicken and other American dishes. What sets Sullivan’s apart from the rest if the way the food is prepared; it just has that fresh off the grill taste that makes you want to order seconds. The staff is very polite and attentive to your needs; they always make sure that you don’t want for anything. All in all I would give Sullivan’s two thumbs up.

You can’t come to the nation’s capital without catching a movie at the renowned Uptown Theater In the heart of downtown D.C. This is a one screen theater that only shows very “high in demand” movies, so you won’t catch your small low budget movie here. The curved screen it about 40ft high and over 60ft wide; it is a sight to see. There is only one ticket both so you should arrive early to avoid the long lines. The biggest down side is parking, which is slim to none, your best bet is to catch the metro which is two blocks down the street.

I and a group of friends decided to go play some mini golf on weekend, the closet course was Golfzilla in Temple Hills, MD. The price for 18 holes of mini golf was only 6.00, we all thought that was a bargain, little did we know we would leave wanting out money back. The course was not well maintained, on some holes the normally green turf was turning a dark brown or other holes the turf wasn’t even tacked into the ground. If your looking for something to drink or a quick bite to eat, look elsewhere no soda or snack machines and the club house was under construction. I will never return back to Golfzilla, it was a complete waste of our money and time.

I went to auto experts to get an alarm and remote starter installed in my car, it was a great experience. The AE staff was very knowledgeable about all of there products and helped me pick the perfect alarm for my car and price range. Not once did they try to force the most expensive alarm on me, actually they suggested one of the cheaper ones. The install took less than 4 hrs and afterwards the installer sat with me and showed me every feature of my new alarm and remote starter. I will send me business there way every time I have a automotive need.

I just happen to stumble apron this fish store while visiting a friend in the area, thank goodness I did. This is the all in one fish store for the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Anything you need they have or will order for you, from filters to live rock and sand. The prices are top notch as well, comparable to any online vender or national retail store. Aquarium Center has the largest fish room I have every seen! In the center of the fish room lays a 5,000 gallon saltwater display tank that is breathe taking. They have well over 300 tanks filled with fresh and saltwater fish not to mention a nice collection of reptiles. I would recommend this store it anything in the hobby.

All Daz is a new up and coming urban fashion brand based out of Washington, DC. I have to admit when I first heard of them I thought to myself, “oh another run of the mill clothing line” well I’m happy to say I was very wrong. All Daz has matches colors and designs that I’ve never seen before. When you had that pair of shoes that has three or four colors and you can never find anything to go with them, check out All Daz. The small store can be hard to find if your not looking for it, I consider it a gem in the rough.

We R One are a local urban fashion store owned by Orlando Magic Guard and Washington, DC native Steve Francis. The small store packs a big punch, everything from socks to the latest Go-Go mix tape can be found on the racks. The clothes range from size small to 4X, so they have something that everyone can fit. The employee's are very nice and don't pressure you to buy anything. The store is open 7days a week, and they now have three different locations in the Washington, DC metro area.
