Anyone considering adopting a pet should look into greyhound rescue since they are known for being low maintenance and are huge couch potatoes. Greyhound Friends allows people to visit with numerous dogs on site, so that the people can get used to being around greys and can find one for a forever home. Our family has adopted 5 greys from GFNC and all the adoptions went smoothly. The kennel even allows already adopted greys to come visit the to-be-adopted ones on weekends. The volunteers and full-time employees are extremely helpful and only want the greyhounds to go to the best homes. Throughout the year they do festivals specializing in greyhound vendors and activities plus lots of fun fundraisers.
