The Eno River is located off I-85 in Durham and has a pleasing trail for walking past and around the river. For dog owners, it is ideal since it is never overrun with off-leash dogs plus there is plenty of shade so that dogs do not get overheated. Most days the Eno River Association has activities for a those with outdoor and environmental interests. In the summer there is the Eno River Festival, which has local artisans, bands and plenty of food. Lots of crafters are on site and it is a great way to spend a day getting to know more about this area.
