This garden center is not worth your time going there. The plants are in small pot and pretty root bound. There is a good selection of shrubs and trees but I don’t have any experience with them....
This garden center is not worth your time going there. The plants are in small pot and pretty root bound. There is a good selection of shrubs and trees but I don’t have any experience with them. The perennials I bought last year, where small and the beginning but did not grow as fast as some bought from another store.

In October the Chatfield Arboretum has an annual pumpkin patch. There is a 5 acre pumpkin patch where you pick your own, hayrides, activities, farm displays and food and craft venders. There is also a large corn field maze that changes every year. Very well run and the pumpkins are not too expensive. The maze is fantastic at night.

Clement park has something for everyone. They have a skatepark, 3 playgrounds, 4 softball fields, soccer and football fields, batting cages, lake with 1.6mile path, open spaces, concession stand and an ampetheater. There is a library located in the park and many shops and restaurants by the lake. It’s a great place to spend the day.

This a newly build amusement park near downtown. A fun place to be but very expensive. They have all the rides (roller coasters, spinning things and ferris wheel) along with an arcade, a water park and an ampatheater. If you can pickup some entrance coupons, bring water and eat outside the park it would be a better deal.

Tiny Town is a tourist attraction about 10 miles out of the city along highway 285. It’s was created in 1915 and has a small scale steam locomotive that drive thru a 1/6 scale town, a small restaurant and gift shop. Its open daily from memorial day to labor day. It good for a couple of hours fun out of the heat of the city. The kids love looking into the small building and playing in the playground.

Fat City is an indoor amusement park. They have bowling, laser tag, roller skating, bumper cards, a foam factory and a large arcade. They also have two fast food type restaurants and a bar. It has something for every age. The bowling alley becomes 18 and up on Friday and Saturday nights. There are all day passes available and on Wednesdays, its dollar days. My teens love to hang out here and I know they are well occupied.

They do have Sears, Dillard’s and Foleys as their anchor stores but nothing else really worth looking into. The one good thing is t the Chinese restaurant in the south east corner. Other then that, its pretty dull.

A great place to be if you are into Rc cars, trucks, boats and planes. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products and about repairs. The selection of parts is outstanding. They always have what we need. There is an outdoor dirt track and also an indoor track for the minis. They hold races outside on Sunday if you like to compete.

This small company did our backflow testing not to long ago. As this needs to be done annually, it needs to be done correctly and inexpensively. I would highly recommend AV Irrigation for backflow testing. They were quick, nonintrusive and not very costly and I was able to get an appointment that was convenient for me.

The gymnastics program at Lilly Gulch Rec center is very well rounded. The tumbling and gymnastics classes start at age 3 and go up to 15. The facilities are a newly built 60’ x 110’ open room with bars, trampoline, rings, beams and a large bounce mat. The classes are small (5-10) and have 2 instructors. Graduating between levels is very individualized and the kids are not pushed beyond their limits but are encouraged to try their best. There is also a team that competes throughout the state for the more advanced. I would recommend this program for any child.
