This is an older park and doesn’t have the new and outrageous roller coasters. Now that that’s said, here is what it does have. A ferris wheel, Auto Skooters, Bumper Boats, two steam trains from the 1904 world’s fair, Cyclone Coaster, Merry-Go-Round and much much more. There are 16 major rides and then there is an extensive kiddie area, great old buildings, lots of mature tree for constant shade and you are allowed to bring in your own picnics. This is all for at least half of what Eliches charges for unlimited rides pass. Even less during the week and for nonriders the entrance fee is 2.00. Now this is a place I can afford.

This is a place for everyone. The parks are on both sides of the street. One side has a petting zoo, a train ride, a shallow creek to wade in, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, large grassy areas for picnics and a covered picnic table area. The other side has softball fields, put-put golf, another playground, a skate park, a water feature for kids to play in, basketball courts, and soccer and football fields. A great place to spend the day.

This is a medium sized hobby store with lots of models, puzzles, kites, remote cars and trucks and a large dungeons and dragons type room. They have a wide selection of thing but not always the small parts you need for those things. Most of the times you have to wait a while if you need help with something. They get very busy and don’t have a large staff.

This is a very, very good school. Newly build, the school is very open, clean, and sunny with all the skylights along the corridors. The teachers and counselors are extremely interested in the progress of all the kids. The teaches stay after school for extra help, the counselors keep track of the grade of the kids and call home when they see anyone that needs help.

The facility is old and small but you get what you pay for. The concession also has lower than average prices. The movies are good and if you squint your eyes is the lobby, you will have a wonderful experience.

There are rides for little kids, and go-karts for the big ones. They also have a fishing pond and miniature golf. The Alpine slide is a big thrill for everyone. The rides are a bit expensive but there are coupons available.

Waterton canyon is a trail going into the foothill just south of Chatfield Reservoir. The first 6 miles of the 17mile trail is rated for beginners and is a wide gravel road. The trail runs beside a river that is good for fishing, or you can ride bikes or hike the trail. After the first 6 miles the trail turns into a loop that is a well maintained singletrack. A very fun afternoon and great exercise.
