I wouldn't go to Pink Plum Antiques if I wanted to go to an antique store that I often buy items at--I have yet to buy something there. That being said, they do have a good selection of houshold, kitchen and garden items (antique and collectible) and their prices are quite reasonable, which is why I usually check them out when I'm in the neighborhood.

Old Padadena Vintage LIghting offers a decent selection of vintage and reproduction lighting fixtures. They have a good variety of Arts and Crafts-type lighting as well as styles from the '40s. '50s and '60s. It's a good place to check if you're searching around for some obscure lighting fixture. Even better, they also do restoration if you have a fixture that doesn't work.

Dreams of Tibet is a import shop specializing in all things Tibetan from hats and scarves to Free Tibet t-shirts. The store also carries incense, yoga and Zen books and tapes, music, and jewelry. The prices are very reasonable. This is a great place to look for an unusual gift item--a colorful handwoven recycling silk hat, for example. The owners are Tibetan and go back to their country to personally purchase the items. When you're done shopping, check out their restaurant next door!

Rue de Mimo is a very small women's clothing boutique found at the back of the same store as Marz (a gift store). There are some nice select items in the boutique, even though the selection is small. The prices are mid range. Rue de Mimo is not worth a trip just to go there, but if you're going to Marz or another store on the block it's worth a quick walkthrough.

What a rarity! An auto body shop that does excellent work and has the most inexpensive prices around. I've had minor auto work done here and was charged a minimal charge that other places would have charged just to give me an estimate. Friends had their van fixed here--great work and it cost them half of what other auto shops estimates were.
