Compared to other baby stores like Baby Gap, Gymboree isn't the best in my opinion. Usually, the two stores have the same themes, but I find that Baby Gap has the same products at a higher quality and often lower price. Some colors at Gymboree and some of their designs, I think are too tacky and out there. But everybody has their own tastes. I suggest if you want simple, cute stuff to go to Baby Gap. If not, then you can give Gymboree a try.

When we visited Disneyland last year, my parents made the poor choice of letting me choose the hotel. I just randomly picked Motel 6. I don't know why- I just did. Well, it was cheap and everything, but when we got there, yuck. It looked pretty shady to me. The pool was LOUD and the people weren't very nice...It said that the hotel included breakfast, so when we came down hungry to eat, what we saw was squirtable butter, Wonder bread, and stale donuts. Also, if you took more than one donut to satisfy your stomach, the staff would glare at you. But hey, what would you expect out of a Motel 6? My parents haven't let me picked the hotel ever since, obviously. But hey, thank God, we didnt' spend much time in the hotel room. If you don't care about the hotel room, then I guess you could come to Motel 6, but I suggest you spend a little more money elsewhere if you wanna be comfortable. ;)

Whenever I go into the city, and I'm feeling like good old American food, I HAVE to come to Buster's. It's one of those stores that I discovered when I was really hungry and there were no other places around. So, I went into here, and was pleased. They have superb hamburgers, steak sandwiches, and chicken burgers, and FRIES! Did I mention the fries? Oh my goodness, sometimes I just come here for the fries. They're homemade, delicious with herbs, and just taste fantastic. When you come into San Francisco next time, look for the yellow "Buster's" sign and get yourself some burgers and fries! You won't be let down!

I love just looking at this mall. It may sound silly, but it's a very gorgeous shopping center, especially at night. It's very chic and has all the coolest shops and foods. I love their shoe shops where I can get my kicks, and of course, Nordstrom's and Macy's and all those department stores. I also like going to the bracelet stand right outside of the mall where the guy makes you a string bracelet with your name on it for 5 bucks. I always buy one on my visit to the mall. Buy more, and you get a discount. Just a tip! ;)

This place seems to have a nice family atmosphere. If I didn't have my own laundry machine in my building, I'd come here to do it. I always see the same families coming here to do their laundry, so there's no shady business or strangers. I find it convenient to come here and get quarters for my own laundry instead of going to the grocery store where they always seem to run out of quarters.

I'm not sure if 'cute' is the accurate word, but that's what I think of when I think of the San Mateo Daily News. They have neat, daily sections that I can always count on to get my news. My favorite is the police mini crimes section that tells of crimes that occured in San Mateo County. I might even intern at this paper soon.

If you have time and the patience to search for bargains in a crowded, full store, then this is the place you should go. They have cheap brand name shoes, but sizes go fast. They have K Swiss, Adidas, Nike, and some boots, I'm pretty sure. I usually go to their other locations because this one in SF always seems to be crowded even on weekdays. All in all, I'd rather buy my shoes from Niketown or a department store, because I dont' really have the patience to look for my size, style, etc..here. But this store COULD be fun, if you love to search.

This is the closest store to me that sells stuff for my phone like covers, holders, and USB cords...stuff like that. It's a very miniscule store, more like a mall stand actually. You go in and find what you want and pay at a teeny tiny register. I love their phone covers and everything, but the one thing I hate about this store is the staff. It's the same 2 or 3 guys each time (sometimes their friends come by), and they don't really show interest in helping their customers out. They don't go that extra step. They're supposed to be there to help you out and answer your questions, and they don't seem to like helping people out. It's kind of frustrating when you're paying for some $50 accessory and they won't help you out and tell you the details. I mean, come on, you're spending money here. I try to come here as little as possible, but it's the only phone store that I know of that sells accessories, so unfortunately, I have no choice. I just hope they change their attitude.

Mexican food is my favorite food, and whenever I come to San Mateo I try a new restaurant (they have many Mexican restaurants here). I didn't really like Tres Amigos (I decided to try it because I heard lots of good things about it), because my food arrived cold and there were some weird spices in my burrito. But there's rarely Mexican food that I don't like, so I'm planning on trying this restaurant again in case I find it better.
