The reason I only gave Too Cute 3 stars was because it's changed. Its old owner had much better prices and items (for some reason), but its new owner totally skyrocketed the prices (compared to other used kids' stores) and she doesn't even have that great stuff. Plus, it seems like you're pressured to buy something. If you look hard, I guess, you can find something small to buy for your kids like stamps (25 cents) or plastic jewelry which aren't usually used. She also has some cute baby stuff. But once again, I wouldn't bother coming here because the prices are outrageous.

The main reason I shop at Whole Foods is for the ready made food. I LOVE their soups. My favorites are the tomato, potatoe + leek, and all the salmon "stews". They also have great pizza (with unbelievable crust), and sandwiches. I love their tuna sandwiches the best. As for grocery type foods, I don't usually come here to do that sort of shopping. If you're on your lunch break, and you work near Whole Foods, I recommend coming here and grabbing a quick (but fulfilling) bite to eat. I promise you, if you take my word for it, you won't regret it!

I absolutely LOVE the food and people at Trader Joe's. Both are down-to-earth if food can be called that. It's simple, organic but absolutely DELICIOUS. Once you taste the products they have here, you'll never want to go back to your old supermarket. Some of my favorite foods they have here are: the cheese (gouda, brie, and cheese spreads), the terra chips, Pirate's Booty (popcorn), pita chips (TRY THESE for a healthy alternative to potato chips), garlic hummus, pita pizzas, frozen pizza, frozen hashbrowns. Also, try their pies and desserts, they're SO GOOD.

Right when you walk into Mollie Stone's, you can smell this fresh, crisp smell of veggies and fruits (the vegetable and fruit displays are the first thing you see). Then you also smell some flowers because there are a bunch of flowers on sale next to the doors. They have really healthy food at reasonable prices. They also have a great deli! Their deli sandwiches are known throughout Burlingame (try the roast beef!). They have great customer service, too!

Are you getting tired of Starbucks? Do you love tea? Do you want a new coffee place to go to? Well, you should try Pete's. It's located right next to the Apple Store in Burlingame Avenue. So you can grab a coffee and go play with computers (although, I'm not sure if they allow food into the Apple store). Anyways, back to Pete's. They have delicious crumb cakes, and their hot chocolates are delicious (if you want something for your kids so they don't feel left out while you're drinking your coffee). Watch out because they often offer samples.

I love going to this bookstore because I know I'll always find what I want, they have great staff, and I'm supporting a local bookstore (instead of Barnes Noble). They have books, magazines, calendars, foreign books and magazines, DVD's, gifts, greeting cards, and probably a lot more. It's located in a convenient place, so you can grab something to eat on the Ave before you settle down and read (they have great "benches" in the kid's section wherre you can sit down and various chairs around the store).

This is also a great store, but I don't like it as much as Ross and T.J. Maxx. I do like their shoes though. They have really cute flip flops, flats, and tennis shoes. I've even found a pair of Dr. Scholl's here (the slides). But I don't usually find what I want here. They have really cheap brand name baby/toddler's clothes here and their books are really cheap and they have a big selection. This one is also right next to Target and Chuck E. Cheese's (you can't avoid it if you're with your kids :)

If Ross was too tacky for you (or you didn't find what you were looking for), this is your next stop, but it's a few dollars more expensive. I've found some really cute items here that were brand name. I've bought Rocawear, Ecko Red (and Ecko for the boys), Lady Enyce, Pepe Jeans London, DKNY, Polo Ralph Lauren (including sunglasses for as low as $9.99), Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, and SO much more. I'm lucky to have a T.J. Maxx's a 10 minute's drive away. If you need some new clothes and you want to spend as little money as you can help, then find the nearest T.J. Maxx.

Do you need some new, fashionable clothes but are low on cash at the moment? Then, have no fear, Ross is here! :], haha, corny, but, really, Ross is really cheap and has most of the same clothes as the "big" stores. Tops start at sometimes $2.99, sometimes even lower (if you look hard)! Pants, jeans, skirts start at the same price, and they're all cute (they even have some brand names like Adidas, Levi's, Nike). Shoes are SO cheap, and they have lots of styles (A LOT CHEAPER than department stores). All you really have to do is look hard. It's really fun to shop here and see what you can find!

I love Melaka's food and despite their staff's attitudes I still continue to come here. I'm not talking about everybody who works here, but there ARE a significant number of waiters who never smile and lack the qualities it takes to work in a family restaurant like this. Another bad thing about Melaka is some of their food is too oily (but it's all fresh, though). They have a nice sushi bar (enough sushi to satisfy you), and they have SUPERB egg rolls! They have a vegetarian section and a meat section which I'm glad they seperate. Their tofu is great and their dessert section is great (you can get as much tapioca pudding as your heart desires).
