The Gap Outlet located at the Carolina Outlets in Smithfield, NC is worth the 40 minute drive from Raleigh. The store is well organized and offers a nice selection of men's, women's and children's clothing. The prices are great - and most of the time there is a sale going on where you can save 20-50% more! Although most Gap Outlets provide pleasant shopping experiences, this one really stands out because it is not only clean, but the staff is overly helpful. It is very easy to find associates and they are all ready to help.

The newly opened Red Robin in Quaker Crossing Shopping Center has good service and excellent food. Even though it was a Saturday night around 8 pm, the food came out quickly and all of the orders were correct. One of the gimmicks offered by Red Robin is that you receive a free refill on your french fries - but in the 3 or 4 times I have dined at other locations, I have never been offered seconds. This particular Red Robin, offered up free refills on the fries, and even offered to provide fries at the bar while we waited for a table. The parmesan garlic fries are outstanding!

Because I travel a lot for work, I have had my share of positive (and negative) flight experiences. Unfortunately I can probably tell a story about a terrible experience I have had on every major airline - except one. I have flown many times on Northwest Airlines and have never had a bad experience. The flights are reasonably priced - and even though I fly them most often for work, it is also very affordable for me to fly them for pleasure. The flight attendants and gate agents are helpful and friendly - you are not expected to pay for things that should be given out freely (like blankets, beverages and snacks) and the flights are on schedule about 95% of the time. In an industry that seems to be moving farther and farther away from putting the customer over the almighty dollar, Northwest is trying to keep their priorities in order.

Louie's Texas Hots in Orchard Park, NY is one of the best places to pick up a quick lunch or a late night snack. They offer dine-in, take out and call in orders - and the service is always good. The prices are great and since everything is a la carte, you can order exactly what you want. They are open 24 hours and I love to go there after a concert at Darien Lake or a late night Sabres game. The home fries with sauce and cheeseburgers are to die for!

I have spent many hours in the Home Depot store on Mile Strip Road in Hamburg, NY due to renovations on our new house. This is the cleanest and most organized Home Depot I have ever shopped in - it is so easy to get what you need! In particular, the paint department is great - the associates are always friendly and helpful. There are always more than enough registers open and there is rarely a line, even at the U-Scan. I will always shop at Home Depot over the competitors!

Paul's Carpet Outlet just re-carpeted our new house - although they did a decent job and the job was completed in a timely manner, the damage they did to our freshly painted house makes the damage control time worse than what we expected. We knew that some door frames and trim might need to be touched up due to their work, but they managed to damage every door, door frame and piece of trim in our house. The only thing that remained safe was our walls - it will take us hours to reverse the damage they caused. In addition, when we pointed out the damage they were doing, they did not become any more careful or apologize for the harm that had already been caused.

Big Tree Inn in Orchard Park has a great atmosphere and even better food! On Thursday nights, they offer thirty cent wings and other specials - only for eat in though. The bar is tiny but there is a lot of space to move, so it never feels overcrowded. The staff is friendly and very accomodating, although from my experience, they only take cash. It is a great place to watch the game - in fact, many of the current (and past) Buffalo Bills players can be seen there during the off season!

Duff's in Orchard Park has excellent food and great service. The staff is always welcoming and polite and in my experience, my order has never been incorrect. Although the wait can be very long on weekends, the food is worth the wait, The accomodating staff will always change one of the many televisions to a game or program you would like to watch and they even have balloon artists and magicians most nights to entertain families in the restaraunt. The Beef on Weck and Wings combo is outstanding.

I ordered a sectional from Frey's in Clarence about 8 weeks ago and still have not received it. At the point that I ordered it, I was told it would be 3 weeks but it has been twice as long and I have not received any communication from the company. Even though it has taken so long to get the furniture, Frey's wasted no time processing my payment - it cleared the next day. About 1 week after I ordered the sectional I went into the store looking for some other furniture and was surprised to see the identical piece in stock - I had been told it was on back order. When I asked an associate why I could not get the sectional that was in stock, I was told that since the order was processed, they could not change it. The money I saved on the furniture doesn't matter any more because of the hassle I have been going through.

On Friday August 24 at approximately 3:30 pm, I stopped into the store located in the McKinley Mall area. I was looking for living room furniture for a house I just purchased. During the first 15 minutes I was in the store, more than 3 associates passed me without greeting me or offering to help me - the only way I was able to get any help was by walking through the entire store to the area near the service desk where most of the associates had congregated. When I was finally approached by an associate, the experience was very negative. He introduced himself as Noah and asked what I was looking for - when I explained that I needed living room furniture and that I had already picked out the set I wanted, he just stared at me blankly and did not respond. I started to walk toward the front of the store where the furniture was located and expected him to be following me - but when I turned around about half way through the store, I noticed that he had not moved from the back of the store. I walked over to the furniture and stood near it for 5 minutes while Noah continued to watch from the back of the store - he never made any attempt to come over to where I was standing or try to help. After waiting for 5 minutes more, I started to walk toward the door and noticed he was still watching, not making any attempt to ask me if I needed anything. I ended up leaving the store that day without ordering the furniture although I had every intention of buying it that day when I got to the store and also made this intention clear to Noah when I spoke him. I decided that I would order the furniture online because I loved the furniture but the customer service was so terrible in the store that I will never return to that location. I think that Noah was an awful sales person and was not helpful at all - he completely turned me off from your stores and my business in the future will be limited at best. As I left the store I noticed a couple leaving at the same time discussing the fact that they were not helped by anyone and they could not believe that a company would treat customers this way. I am very disappointed in the lack of service I received at the McKinley Mall store and would expect more from such a reputable local company.
