The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is a wealth of knowledge about the area we live in. The indoor viewing areas of reptiles and amphibians are wonderful as are the aquatic displays. The nephews love the earth science section with the cave you can go through and the selection of minerals to look at. There is a dump heap where you can look for rocks and minerals too. Kids also enjoy the archaeological dig area where they can look for dinosaur "bones." There are spots to take a rest and get an ice cream and wonderful underwater viewing areas of beavers and otters. The cougar den is a favorite of mine.
