To bad customers that need wheelchairs can't enjoy .I myself love Jim Barbarie's . But I can't visit with clients in wheelchairs .

The place seems dated. Food was OK

Rating:

I ate there and I thought I was going back in time. Food was just OK.
I would probably go there again as most places in area are
no good. About the same as Chuck's with less atmosphere.

Not only is this restaurant a delightful place with excellent cuisine but the staff and management is exceptional. Thank you Michele for making my son and daughter-in-love's(yes love not law) anniversary special by going above and beyond your job. I can't express how thankful I am for your help.
If anyone is looking for a GREAT place to eat.....
This is the one.....
Don't think twice.....
Treat yourself to a fabulous eatery with a wonderful staff.

I have been eating at Jim Barberies for over 40 years. My parents took me there when I was a child, That was our family's favorite restaurant. Now I take my parents, Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren there. It's a must when you come Danbury.

This has been a favorite for almost 30 years. Their food is exceptional- never a bad meal here. Staff is friendly and professional- always a treat!

THIS PLACE CAN ACCOMODATE ANY TASTE. THEY HAVE A VERY WIDE VARIETY ON THEIR MENU AND DAILY SPECIALS. THEY ALSO OFFER EARLY BIRD SPECIALS FOR UNDER $10.00 BEFORE 5:00PM. THEY HAVE A SEPARATE BAR FOR THOSE NOT LOOKING TO EAT. THE WAIT STAFF IS A LOT OF FUN AND DRESSED IN BLACK & WHITE SO THEY ARE EASY TO SPOT. THE DRESS GOES FROM NEAT CASUAL TO FORMAL. IT IS A MATURE CROWD BUT ALSO FAMILY FRIENDLY. IT IS FAMILY OWNED BY JIM BARBERIES CHILDREN AND THEIR PRIDE SHOWS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A NICE MEAL AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

Jim Barbarie's has great food and a good atmosphere - although they are always busy. I've been for both lunch and dinner - and I think the seafood is wonderful (especially the stuffed shrimp). They have Early Bird specials and on Saturday nights they open up the dance floor. Although I've never been to that myself, i hear it is a blast.

I can only comment on the food and atmosphere - both which receive an A+ in my book.
