This is a great park located on Lake Norman. It's on the waterfront and has a beach area but no swimming is allowed. There are TONS of things to do. They have picnic areas and 2 playgrounds, horseshoes, volleyball, fishing and nature trails and also some bike trails. I'm not sure but I think you can also launch boats from here too. Oh and when I said fun for the entire family, it's because you can also bring your dogs. They have a four acre fenced in dog park where the dogs can run and play off their leashes. They have two fenced off areas, one for larger breed dogs and one for smaller breeds.
