I called Congressional when I was shopping for a VW, and they were the only place that would not give me a price over the phone or by e-mail. I had to bring my VW there for a warranty/recall issue, and they repaired it, but I mentioned another problem I had that should have been under warranty, and they said they needed to order a part, and would call me when it came in. I never heard from them again, which was probably for the best.

I was VERY happy buying our VW Passat here. They have a no-haggle price policy, where they take their cost, tax, tags, etc., mark it up a few hundred dollars, and that's it. And they TELL YOU those...
I was VERY happy buying our VW Passat here. They have a no-haggle price policy, where they take their cost, tax, tags, etc., mark it up a few hundred dollars, and that's it. And they TELL YOU those numbers! We were not pressured to finance through them either, even though they offered it. This is the only dealership I've allowed to place their logo on my car. Before, I've always told them they have to give me a discount or not put the logo on, because I don't advertise for free unless I'm really happy with something.

Children In the Shoe has been wonderful for our daughter. They have a lot of activities, conducted with structure but also allowing for creativity and preference. The caregivers have all been wonderful. My daughter always has a good time at "school", my only regret is that they don't have an after-school program, so we'll have to find another place once she starts school.

Dan Cox, the owner, provides great support and customer service. Although he can sometimes be hard to get a hold of, since he's apparently in demand, when you talk to him he does listens and responds with thought and consideration, and he cares about having satisfied customers. The roofing and the siding went great, one of the gutters had to be redone, but he took care of that. MUCH cheaper than Sears or Home Depot.

This guy came out to our house, and I walked him through all the work we wanted done. He didn't take any notes, and didn't even seem to be paying much attention. When we were done, he went to leave, and I had to ask him about the estimate before he told me he'd mail it to me. Didn't say much, maybe he's just taciturn by nature, but I never saw an estimate, so after the impression he made during the walk through, I didn't bother following up with him.

Sunquest Inc. is an independently owned Four Seasons Sunrooms reseller, or something like that. I'm happy with the materials, but when they said they were done, I found a long list of things they needed to come back and finish. There were cosmetic parts missing, windows didn't lock, and the salesman said he would add something, and since it wasn't in the contract, they said they wouldn't do it. I eventually convinced them to do it, but I had to fight them for it. Now the room still leaks sometimes, and they said they would come back, but they haven't yet. If the room is finished properly, I'll be very happy with it, though.
UPDATE: The INSIDE panel of one of the roof panels shattered -- while we were out, thankfully, because the glass fell right where our four year-old usually sits -- and now they want US to pay for labor when they admit it probably shattered because of installation errors. I wish we had never had the damn thing built! Stay away from Sunquest, Maryland Sunrooms, and Four Seasons Sunrooms!!

But the barbers/stylists aren't all old men....in fact, the males are mostly young men, and there are a few women, too, and they all do good work. A great alternative to Hair Cuttery, where every time you go in, all the faces are new.

When I got it, it didn't include what it would cost to have the same job done but with a larger breaker panel, which I had asked for from the start, so I called again...and again...and again. She pretty much told me to stop bugging her. I never got the revised numbers, and of course I didn't use them.

His staff are competent, courteous, and knowledgeable, especially his office staff...which is his wife, Melinda. What a pleasant change to have someone in the office who is both nice and helpful! He even came and fixed something that PEPCO refused to touch.

Gaithersburg AC & Heating did a great job moving our central AC unit about 15-20 feet and running the lines to the new spot. They even put it on this big plastic square, which it looks like they leveled. It was on blocks before! But I asked their office about an energy audit, and they said they could do it, then when I called back, they said they don't do that, and that no one at their office would have told me that they do that! Annoying, but they did a great job.
