This cigar store does sell cigar cutters, lighters, and other accoutrements, and maybe even some other items, but if you go into Davidus Cigars, you should leave with at least a few cigars. They have a huge walk-in humidor, and will tell you all about the different kinds of cigars. They helped me get a few very nice, moderately expensive cigars for me to enjoy when my daughter was born, and some nice, less expensive ones for whenever. There's a really nice coffee shop-like area with big armchairs and side tables for customers.

I would normally do that myself, since I'm both a cheapskate and a tinkerer, but the owner usually insists on providing outstanding service. They also sell watches.

White's is a local hardware store. That means no huge warehouse type store, and no racks of shelves three stories high. The selection is probably better than the chains, because they know every single piece they carry, and they know their inventory. Much more personal than the big chains, where even if they're friendly, they don't seem like your neighbors. Historic building, in business and run by the White family for over 100 years.

Our little monkey has really liked this park since she was 2 years old, although some toddlers might be hesitant to crawl through the tubes and such on their own. Not my daughter, she loves it....

There are some picnic tables and a running path, and apparently a softball field, although I've never used them.

The staff at Fletcher's Amoco are very nice, and they're usually pretty helpful. They do a pretty good job, and they will usually show you what they did or will do or are doing if you want to know more about the repairs that you need. They also repaired a tire for my wife after closing time and wouldn't accept payment.
Interesting note: they have solar panels covering the "canopy" over the pumps, and use them to partially power the station.

We have been taking our cats to Dr. Engel since we moved here, and we are very happy with her and her staff. The only problem is the waiting room is rather small, and it's one room. (I've been to other vets that have half-wall dividers, so the skittish pets can be kept away from other pets and hopefully they don't get as crazy.)

This is a great park for kids and toddlers. Lots of slides, ladders, and stuff like that, plenty of swings. Apparently there are two tennis courts and two soccer fields, but they're uphill from the playground and so you can't see them from there, so I have no idea what they're like. If this park was within walking distance, we'd go there instead of Olney Square.

If you've ever been to a botanical gardens park, you'll know what this park is like. Lots of paths through trees and bushes, all with little plaques saying what species they are. Lots of benches and grass to sit on, so pack a lunch. The "Wings of Fancy" butterfly exhibit has hundreds of butterflies indoors, and dozens of cocoons, so some butterflies are usually emerging.

I mostly use the playground portion of this park, which has a few slides and some things to climb. The only swings are the "basket" kind, not the "sling" kind, as it's more for toddlers and young kids. There are also two tennis courts, which look well kept up although not great, and a basketball court. The phone number is for the Parks Dept. There's also a huge open field next to the playground, perfect for frisbee or something like that.
