Fun way to spend an hour or two watching planes take off and land.

Thursday, July 28, 2005
The Montgomery County Airpark is open to the public, even the earthbound non-aviators. You can stand and watch the planes, or go sit on the patio at the Airpark Café. It's a fun way to spend an hour or two, especially if you bring a book...let's face it, staring at the runway without interruption for that long would be a little tedious. But it's more of an entertaining backdrop, the way you would watch people at a sidewalk café. Of course, if you really like aviation, visiting the airpark will be much more engaging, but even if you don't, it's still a nice way to spend an hour or two.
