Setting up the meeting and planning the food was easy and fun, Brandi was terrific to work with.
The food they served didn’t quite live up to what I though it should have. The descriptions on paper sounded so gourmet – they were good, but not outstanding. I was disappointed.
The servers are very helpful and do a great job.
Even though we had plenty of food & ordered the same amount of drinks, the drinks were run out of BEFORE the hors d’ouvres line started!!! We were doing pictures while they had tray-passed hors d’ouvres, so with my “meal” I had to drink water!!!! They handled that awfully. If I order food & drinks for 350 people, I expect them to have enough.

National Optical is a great place to go to get glasses. They have a good selection of ladies, men’s and children’s glasses and they weren’t busy at all. They assisted nicely with my search, but did not try to influence my decision, especially when it came down to two very differently priced glasses. Their prices were reasonable and they didn’t take more than a few weeks getting my glasses ready. I’d use them again.

Barney’s is a good place to go to get a great cup of coffee, a piece of biscotti or a brownie, and to sit down with a book amid the coffee shop atmosphere. Their baristas are very friendly and they know their coffee, I’ve not yet gotten a drink mix up. It’s not my favorite coffee, but if you want to try something other than Starbucks, it’s worth a shot. They have tons of flavored coffee, recommended if you like that, really awesome flavors.

Greater Carolina Women’s Care is a nice place to go for an ob/gyn yearly appointment. Their offices are clean, the receptionists and nurses are helpful and friendly, and it’s very conveniently located near the university. My wait wasn’t long, the appointment was very nice, and the doctor took time to talk to me and answer any questions, also being very good at making me feel at ease during the exam. I’d recommend them, but I’ve only been once.

Market Street West is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal in Greensboro. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The food is gourmet – I have always loved the duck in montmorency cherry sauce – utterly tantalizing. Their coffee is absolutely wonderful, aromatic and flavorful – they should sell it! The service is usually really great (though one waiter, when asked, explained medium well as “medium well” – very rude). I’ve loved every meal. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Geroge K’s is overpriced for the quality and experience in my opinion. It’s a great place to have a quiet and a little more elegant meal, but you’re paying a lot for just that. Nothing on the menu stands out as prepared scrumptuously. Actually one time there a waiter-in-training spilled wine all over my mother’s dress. Of course they paid the dry cleaning and were very apologetic, but the staff seemed a little young or immature. Go try it and make your own decision, but mine is that there’s better elsewhere.

Copeland’s has a neat upscale Cajun fare. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but some menu items are pretty good. I’ve never thought anything was excellent except for the appetizer of fried bowtie pasta with a spinach artichoke dip – utterly mouthwatering! The Cajun meals were ok, from Bouillabaisse to Shrimp Lo Boy, I’ve only though it was ok. Desserts were fairly good. A nice meal, for sure.

Though it is pricey, located charmingly in olde downtown Williamsburg, the Williamsburg Chocolatier is incredible in the selection and quality of chocolates. All sorts of truffles, crèmes, unique things like chocolate covered pretzels or marshmallows, bars, nuts, or anything you want!! Of course you’ll pay a nice penny for this kind of chocolate, but it’s incredible.

The only bad thing to say is that they are extremely busy during lunch time. They sell all kinds of delicious sodas, cheeses, meats, and pre-made salads and pastas! Don’t go to Williamsburg without stopping here for lunch, it’s amazing.
