One of NY's Best Steak Houses

Wednesday, September 07, 2005
Spark’s is famous for its lobster and steak, but it’s also notorious as the place where a mobster was gunned down in front of its doors. Nice décor includes old orange-lit chandeliers, landscape paintings, and lovely dark paneling. The veal chop, lamb chop, and 16-18 ounce steaks are legendary, or for non-meat lovers there are filet of tuna, rainbow trout, and halibut, though I can vouch for none. Very large wine-list, one of America’s largest. Everyone I’ve known has gotten steaks there, all of which are succulent, velvety, seared to perfection, spiced amazingly, and melt-in-your mouth. I don’t even remember sides, but I think they come a la carte. If you want a world-class steak, GO HERE!
