Bayou Country is the cutest tourist shop. They are located between New Orleans and Slidell. The offer a huge selection of Louisiana memorabilia. They have anything you can imagine with crawfish and alligators on them, from aprons to magnets to shirts. They also make homemade pralines and fudge daily. The pralines and fudge are a little bit expensive, but you get to watch them make them so it is educational too! They also have a cafe in the back that serves traditional Louisiana dishes, i.e. gumbo and jambalaya.
You can also pick up lots of canned/packaged food items in the front of the store too. Most everything in the store is affordable.
