My husband and I chose Carmelita's as the place to celebrate our first Wedding Anniversary. It came highly recommended from friends of ours and we weren't disappointed. The ambiance is artistically rustic and tastefully done. The service was attentive and we never had to wait long between courses, yet nothing felt rushed. Every course delighted us, and we had fun trying each other's dish to compare flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portion sizes were spot on for finer fare such as this. We were glad we took our friends advice for our special day - we'll definitely be back!!

We tried Qazi's last night before heading into a concert at the High Dive. Despite being busy (always a good sign) we were acknowledged as soon as we walked in, then seated and served quickly and efficiently.
We really appreciated the free popadoms and chutneys to get us started. We were also delighted to see that for each main course you have a selection of fillings so we opted for the Channa Masala with potatoes, Tikka Masala with Vegetables and two Spinach & Paneer (cheese) nan breads. When the food arrived and we tucked in to our dishes we were wowed with the flavors. The nans were to die for....they alone would make a satisfying lunch. Did I mention the Mango Lassi....very very good. We are curry fans and have eaten Indian food throughout England and many many places in the U.S. We left Qazi's feeling very nourished and highly impressed! One word summed up our experience - EXCEPTIONAL!!
We will definitely be back for more next time we are in the Fremont area.
