The staff is always upbeat at this florist and offers wonderful arrangements. Each arrangement that I've needed over the years has been just beautiful and I've received many compliments. There's always something happening at the Petersen Museum! The Petersen Museum has ongoing exhibits of beautiful antique and classic cars that you will never see again. They offer a very comprehensive website and you can even buy one of their many memberships online.
If you're into cars, this is definitely a museum to visit and even buy a membership too. You won't be disappointed and you'll find yourself going again and again to view the cars.

I've been going to this full service salon for over 10 years at this location. Owned by Millicent, you'll sometimes find her in her salon cutting clients hair. This salon is always hopping, especially on weekends. If you don't have a particular stylist, call ahead and the receptionist can place you with a hair stylist.
I only go to one stylist that knows my hair, but on occasion I've needed to have my hair done quick when my stylist was on vacation. I called Millicent & Comp and I was able to make an appointment easily with someone else for a style.
The prices are very reasonable for a cut or even a cut and color. Nice manicures and pedicures too and there is even a massage room. Check them out!

Knowledgable staff to help you locate your books. You'll typically find books at least $20 less than at the bookstore. It's a no frills store but give them a try. Nice selection of gift bags and wrapping (good quality and name brands) at great prices. An outstanding selection of cards for every occasion and the price is right. Most all card are .25 and the most expensive are .40. I've been buying high end German cards here for years and always get compliments.

They have many flavors to choose from and can make any artistic design that you're looking for. The prices are not cheap, but the cake isn't either! During the holidays they have some yummy flavors to choose from. If you are ordering for the holidays, order early. They're very popular and will stop taking orders a week before the event.

I went to Celebrity Tan a few years back for months at a time. I actually had a membership twice within 3 years. The place and beds were always clean and there was never much of a wait. I typically made a reservation ahead of time and never had any problems. I stopped going because I started feeling "funny" inside. I think it's good to go tanning for once in your life if it's for a wedding or big event in your life, but not for a prolonged period of time.
If you're looking for a good tanning establishment in the La Mesa area, this is probably your best bet!
