I try to go to church as much as I can, but it is not always possible (for example now I haven't been since Easter.) Now it is going to get even more difficulat since our priest just moved back to Russia.
The church that I go to is part of the Russian Orthodox Faith (a form of Christianity which originated from Greek Orthodox Faith). We have a wondeful parish and A LOT of kids. Seeing a lot of kids in church is very good since we know that it has a future. There is a Russian Saturday Church school (not open during the summer) that will hopefully continue next fall when we get a new priest. In the past 6 years the school has grown very successfully. Right in Downtown Menlo Park.

My dad absolutley LOVES to fish. He has been fishing with his father ever since he was a boy. Im almost sure that this is where we are going to go to Father's Day. This Lake is wonderful. It holds trout, large mouth bass and bluegill. The absolute best thing about the lake is that you can actually catch something here! I hate fishing for hours with nothing to show for it. Here I don't think we have ever left without catching SOMETHING. There are lots of picnic areas for families and trails for people with dogs. Its a wonderful place to just walk around. Bring jackets in the morning (because it gets COLD) and LOTS of sunscreen in the day. We've been going here for years and this is still our favorite fishing spot. The only thing is that it doesnt have any BIG fish; no huge catfish or carp, sorry.

The City Editor reward really prompted me to write this review. I know that this is a chain, but so what, the people have to know about whats good! This is my favorite movie theater in the area. I even pick this theater over the Century Theaters that sell the delicious gummy candy(so expensive by the pound, but so good.) That is really the only flaw here, the candy is only candy bars and redvines and none of that good gummy stuff. The reason why I love this place is because of its seating. There are not nearly as many seats in a single theater as others and that is because the seats themselves are bigger. I can really get comfortable in these seats and not be pressed up against my neighbor. Also, there are never any heads bobbing around you; the next row is quiete a ways away and much lower than you. Wonderful theater, I choose AMC!

I don't know, maybe Im just not much of a Thai person. But I just went here last Saturday and I was not very happy. This Thai Restaurant is Located on Castro Ave (downtown Mountain View) closer to the railroad (Central Expway.) The first thing that I didn't like was the waiter. He was really unproffesional: he was weaving jeans, poured out some water into a plant to speed up the cleaning process, made the doggy bag right on the table by just shoving the extra food into a carton, and made akward reaches. I did not like the food either (but I don't know, it might just be my taste.) I ordered something to do with noodles and shrimp. There were exactly four shrimp in my whole dish. The noodles I did not really like and they had bits of white stuff mixed in which I still dont know what it is. Lets say I didnt eat much. My companion got something to do with chicken and mushrooms and he finished that off. I Got a taste and did not really enjoy that dish either. I dont really think Ill be going here any time soon. O, By the way the prices were like all Thai restaurants :$8-15, very reasonable.

I know that I am not coming here again. The restaurant name means " The Crazy Chicken" in Spanish, and when I went there hispanics were the only ones there which sturck me as very odd. It wasnt very full either. I liked that they prepared you chicken "mostly" in front of you on a grill type thing. The prices were too high in my opinion for the quality of product they served though, a little more expensive than regular fast food. I got a Chicken and Cheese quesadilla and I did not really enjoy it, I felt like I was eating a tortilla drenched in fat. My friend got a meal with a drumstick which was tiny ( you would need to eat like 5 of those to actually feel like you ate ANYTHING) and shoved into the corner of the bag like a piece of trash. I dont feel like I could ever get enough to eat here and I would spend a whole bunch of money trying when I could just go to a nice restaurant for the same money but with much better quality food.

Kirkwood is awesome. Great snow, lots of slopes, great location. People like my family and me go there when they are driving from the Bay Area and don't want to stay the night. This is the closest ski resort to our area and you also don't have to get mixed up with the traffic of other giants Like Heavenly of Northstar. Kirkwood has a great variety of rides. When I go snowboarding there is a very nice slope, perfect for beginners like me. When I ski i can explore the whole park. They have a whole section just for the black diamonds. The ontly problem is that if you are not an advanced skier/rider you will have trouble getting to other lifts because you have to kind of zig zag up and down the mountain to get to the next and then the next life (You get on a lift, ride down to the next, get on a lift......) You can get Kirkwood tickets at Costco. IM not sure how much an adult is since we had season passes but I know that Costco sells two Youth tickets for $64, somewhere along those lines. Got get em!

When I go to Tahoe there is really nothing to do for the younger generation since all the adults go in the casinos. A good alternative then sitting on your butt in the hotel room is sitting on your butt in this theater. The price is $9.25 for an adult. They show all the latest movies. Their theaters are TINY though so if you are seeing a movie that has just been released you better get there early in order to actually get two seats together. Basically an average theater. You have to walk through the casino to get to it. I once actually stayed in the hotel and it was really convinient to go here.

Erik's is located in the same plaza/complex as Marshall's and Cingular. They make fresh sandwiches and soups. It is kind of like Togo's and Subway but since it isnt a major chain things are a bit more expensive, but the taste is great. Its a nice little cafe and its very pleasurable to just sit down there and eat your lunch. Nothing really that special or exciting, but good sandwiches, thats about it.

I have never actually bought anything at this store because I have no one to buy all the cute little things for, but I have wandered inside since I have lunch in that complex every other day. You walk in and everything is so cute (Duh, baby clothes!) The good thing about it I noticed is that everything is a bit cheaper then buying at toher places. This is because most of the stuff is second hand (but they do have new things that stores cant sell so they just donate, kind of like places like Goodwill.) Things were very clean, obviously necessary in order for it to be for a baby. But great little store in the Leohman's Plaza on Homestead Road next to Round table and Longs Drugs. I recommend it to all new parents.

The Black Bear Diner is in the triangle Village and advertises family food. I came across if because I was staying in one of the nearby resorts and you pass this place on the way to where you're staying. Its located right at the highway entrance/exit so you can't possibly miss it. We decided to come in. It was a regular kind of diner. Not many people at all. Simple food. Nothing fancy. Those couch type seating things. The people were nice. The food was just ok. It actually kind of reminded me of IHOP. So this is a place to you if you dont want to go to the IN n Out (like a block away) Or spend a whole bunch of money at at restaurant.
