Yes, its a little random that there is a fruit and veggie shop right in the middle of Stanford Shopping Center (because it is home to designers and store like Macy's and Nordstroms) but thats why we love it. No, thats not why. Sigona's prices do match the location: things are very expensive. Oh, except for their oyster mushrooms. For some reason they actually have a really good deal on their oyster mushrooms. But there is a secret to this place, a secret shelf! There is one single little shelf where they put "clearance" items. They mark down some random fruits and veggies, and this is the real deal. It depends one when you come and if you're lucky but sometimes you can really get a l ot of good stuff. Oh, also they have samples of stuff everywhere: oranges, mandarines, berries of all sorts, mangoes, nuts. You can come up and try a little of everything.

The Stanford Graduate School of Business Libary is something special. But its not open to the public so you dont hear many people talking about it. This place is serious: people come here to continue their pH D research, study for major exams, read up on whats happening with business around the world. There is actually a membership fee and only those who actua;;y go to Standord can get in. Many students have to come here because they can use really expensive books that they dont really want to buy themselves. The GSB library has a few special features: one of them for example is their collection of Corporate reports. I dont think any other library has such a big collection of corporate reports. (Corporate reports are a company's annual report of successes and losses.) One can go there and research almost any company under the sun, from all corners of the globe, and from the 1800's to now! Thats a lot of corporate reports! I actually worked here for a bit so I know the place from an insider look, and the staff is all really nice. They are willing to help with absolutly anything. Great place. If you ever get a chance, come see it. Oh yeah, and the university isnt half bad either:)

I dont know if all driving schools are the same but I dont think I had a very good experience with this one. I decided to pick this school because it was the cheapest (or almost cheapest) that I could find searching on the internet for driving schools in my area. I cant remember but I think it was something like $185. There are seven different drivers in the school ( and ten different cars) but the one that Im familiar with, I dont feel that he really taughts anything. He just kind of sat there, sometimes saying "Change you lane and go right please." Sometimes his phone would go off and he would start chatting happily in another language. Once he actually said he needed to make a stop and drop something off for him (although I've heard from a girldfriend of mine that she had an experience where they had to pick up the guy's dry cleaning.) Overall, IM just glad that the whole experience is over and done with.
Oh by the way. One thing that I didnt really like though is that they would pick you up; from wherever you wanted, your house or the park. That was nice since you didnt have to waste your own gas and time to actually get there.

I actually had an experience of drivers ed with this school and not actual behind-the-wheel- training. The class was at the Sunnyvale Community Center and was around $100, which from what I understand is a bargain. It consisted of video after video, packet after packet, question after question; tedious, but thats what drivers ed is. The most important thing is that the class go the job done! I would definitly recommend these guys for both driver's ed and behind the wheel (because I talked to a friend with that experienced and she was Thoroughly satisfied.)

Redwood is absolutly the best camp your child will ever go to. I have, myself, been a camper and staff. This place is just amazing. They completely forget about everything when they come here. Redwood gives everyone a chance to be someone completly different: kids who dont want to let go of their moms to get onto the bus are completly out of their shells by the end of the first nigth (ive seen this happen.) The fun never stops, and its a different kind of fun at every age level. Amazing campfires, swimming, hiking, crafts, games, rockwall, fishing, boating, archery, and most importantly BONDING! This place makes you friends that are better than people that you've known for five years. truly amazing, and you dont know the half of it until you get just a little taste. EVERY kid needs to come here and feel like an induvidual. The Y teaches kids whats really important and has the power to change them for the rest of their lives.

My favorite theater cost $9.75 (I THINK!) for an adult ticket. I don't ever get candy here because it is really expensive and they dont have any of those gummies, all they have is stuff like Milk Duds, Red Vines, Starburst, etc (good, but not for that price.) And Im not into popcorn ($5) or drinks. I love this theater because the seats are really far apart, you will never have a head bobbing in front of your view. And you are never sitting too-close-for-comfort next to your neighbor. I think that might be why it is so expensive.

Crazy Buffet is awesome (for those who actually like buffets.) People in the Bay Area are going crazy about this place. They have dinner for $15. It has everything but the major theme is seafood. YES! Seafood at a buffet. Unfortunately you know its not that great quality because 1: it is a buffet, and 2: its only $15. But you can get whatever you can imagine. My family usually pigs out on the giant crabs and like the 5 different varieties of shrimp. My favorite though is the sushi. Im in LOVE with sushi and here I can get as much of it as you want. You can see the guys behind the counter making your sushi so its fresh. However, they are Chinese, not Japanese. You will also get to try some interesting Chinese treats.

My family and I used to go to Hometown Buffet, but now we dont really like buffets anymore. They are just the typical buffet (Its a chain so there is actually a chance that you've been to one.) They serve meat that a server cuts for you when you ask, salads, soups, deserts, pizza, ice cream, fruits. Nothing extavegant. I don't exactly rembmer the prices but I know that they are not high. If not this location, check out another.

This place is just awesome. We went here while on a trip to the LA area. We were all really hungry so we needed a place to really fill us up. This really did the job. The restaurant looked like it was family owned by a Persian family. The entire time I was in there I felt like I was in My Big Fat Persian Wedding. There was a guy playing music and singing in Persian ( a little too loud maybe but it still livened up the place.) Then a guy who looked to be the owner got up and started singing which gave a big sense of family.
After we ordered we got a complementary plate of pita bread with butter an onions to keep us busy while we were waiting for the food. The food was wonderful. It was just so good, I cant explain it you have to try it yourself. I ordered a full cornish hen, 2 others ordered the beef kabobs, and the last person in my party ordered Lamb chops. All four dishes were flawless and HUGE. None of use could finish off our plates. There was a huge amount of long grained rice which somehow was really good, I have never tried rice like that before. I could just get a whole plate of that rice and be satisfied. We had to put everything in doggybags and actually had it as a full meal the next night (still tasted great.)
Prices were awesome as well. I dont know how a restaurant can give you that much food and it was only $10-15 a plate. Oh, and they also gave us a complementary salad.
Wonderful place, if you live in the area YOU NEED TO CHECK IT OUT!
