My mom had thryroid surgery and Dr. Alphonso sliced her neck open from one side to the other and she was left permanently hoarse. This exact thing also happened to a co-worker of mine and guess who was the surgeon? Dr. Alphonso. She tried to sue him but was told that there was a disclaimer in the papers that she signed stating that this could happen during surgery. Fine, but it sure would have been nice if he bothered to tell either of his patients that.
