We have been taking our son, who has a form of autism called PDD, to Dr. Giri as she's known, for years. She is an excellent doctor. I believe she treats both children and adults. She prescribed a new medication for him that helped him a lot in school, and helped us regulate his other medications so he was taking the optimal dose to help him. She also gave us other suggestions to help him besides medication. You might have a bit of a wait because she takes her time with each patient, both examining them physically and just talking about what's going on and how they are doing in general. She has a wonderful way with children and my son loves her. Her office is located in SUNY Downstate and it's kind of hard to get a parking spot around there, but that's the only drawback.
