Last year my cat had an emergency- all of a sudden his foot and leg swelled up to twice the normal size, and was painful. It was so sudden, we though he may have been bitten by a rattler (we do get them in this area) They told us to bring him in right away, they saw us immediately upon arrival, and treated him very well. He is usually a very nervous cat, and hates to go to the vet, but for some reason, he was totally calm while they examined him, and determined it was not a snake bite. They never could determine what had caused the swelling, but gave him antibiotics ( a shot and then pills for at home) and observed him for awhile. The swelling did go down after a day or two, and we have never had the problem again. They only charged us $100 for everything, which seems fair to me- I have been charged much more for a lot less treatment at different vets over the years.

My husband recently needed a month to month apartment for a temp job he is doing out of town. We chose the Beachcomber apartments because of the location and the fact that the rental rates were a lot less than others in the area. The complex is older, but appears to be in fairly good repair. It is right across the street from the bay, and has a bus stop half a block away. The management is nice, although they don't seem too quick to respond to service requests. I would recommend it though.

I am a long time crotchet fanatic, and am always looking for something new to challenge my abilities. I discovered Hass Designs some time ago, and discovered delta crochet. It is similar to filet crochet, except you make triangles instead of squares. The website has basic instructions, which are free or you can join an online class for a small fee. You can also purchase “Insta-Print” patterns, or order pattern books. I haven’t gotten to order any patterns yet, but have had fun putting together my own patterns since learning the basics.

I have had this computer LCD monitor for some time now, and I know it is cheaper now, so you can get a better bargain than I did. It is a good monitor. I have had no trouble with it. The adjustment buttons are fairly self-explanatory to use, and the color is very good. It comes with software incase you want to mount it sideways, and you can turn the picture sideways. Overall, I have been very happy with this monitor.

I took my husband's car to Active Auto Clinic, They quoted me $85-100 to replace the part that was broken (a very fair price!) We weren't able to pick the car up that night due to our schedule, so they put it behind the garage behind a locked gate- not out in a front parking lot. When we went to pick it up, they only charged us $75! They have been in business for a long time- like 50 years or something, and their customer service shows why. I recommend them to anyone needing car work done.

Don't expect much in the way of customer service after the sale, though. We were led to believe we had a certain level of coverage as far as the warranty goes, but when we needed to have a small repair done, they tried to tell us it wasn't covered(should have been as far as we understood at time of sale) and that there was nothing they could do since the contract had already been done.

This is a little shop that buys your very gently used children's and baby items at a very low price and turns around and sells them at a big profit. I took in two large baskets of clothing that were all in great condition- no stains, most only worn a few times. They are extremely picky about what they will accept. The buyer picked out about 5-6 items, and paid only a few dollars for them all- I could have done better on Ebay, but at the time needed the cash immediately. I had checked around the store a bit and their resale prices seemed high- $5-9 for an outfit. Maybe they have changed- this was a couple years ago- but I drive by they have tons of strollers out front, and they don't seem to change that often, so at least on those items, they don't seem to sell very fast.

I was looking forward to going here, since I love sourdough bread so much. I was not disappointed. We took my daughter through the tour, and saw it being made, and got to taste some of the fresh bread. It was fun to see all the different shapes they made the bread into. My daughter was enthralled with the baskets of bread being transported continuously overhead. We had lunch in the cafe, the bread bowl with chowder is the best, and the service was great too!
