One of the finer Italian restaurants in the area.
There are few negatives I can say about this restaurant. Before I first tried Cucina Alessi, I didn't think much of the place because it was the restaurant next to a Wegmans (which happens to be the best supermarket in this area!). I thought it would just be another run-of-the-mill pizza place, but one day I actually ventured in and tried it.
Boy was I wrong.
It is a pizza place in the front, but a much more classy one than the norm. Then in the back, or rather the other room, is a beautiful, wide open, subdued, atmospheric Italian restaurant.
The menu is large and features tremendous variety. The bread served with the entrees is terrific. The salads are fresh and the dressings seem home made. The entrees are massive and delicious. The service is quick and efficient. The prices are decent.
What else could you want?
Don't judge a book by its very average looking cover. Inside lies a book with immense depth.

Moore's Tavern is a historically important restaurant apparently dating back to the Revolutionary War.
It has some fantastic qualities that make it worth your time. It features a nice, grand atmosphere, fleshed out with wood trim, and also is a host to some delicious food.
On the other hand though, the menu is, in my opinion, rather...limited. Certainly if you are a fan of steaks, you are in business.
The great contradiction of the restaurant is the wait staff. The waiters are very kind, courteous, and respectful. Unfortunately the service is incredibly slow. Not only did the entrée take a long time to come out, but the soups and salads too! I felt it was a 20 minute wait just for those!
However, in the restaurants defense, even with the very slow service, the atmosphere makes the wait much more pleasurable.
If you want a nice, long evening out with your family, I would certainly recommend this place. Even with all the negatives, my overall evening out at Moore's was certainly a positive.

The Court Jester in Freehold Borough is a fine restaurant and local "sports bar."
When you first walk in, you are greeted by a large bar area surrounded with televisions, bar stools and liquor. I dined in the restaurant section though.
The food is usually delicious. I love the house salads they have there because it not only has the usual lettuce/tomato fare, but they throw in some peas, carrots, corn niblets, and a little cheese making it very unique. Aside from that, the entrees aim to please.
Another unique thing is that the soft drinks are enourmous. Anytime I would order water or seltzer, or anything else for that matter, they are served in these oversized glasses. I refer to them as "buckets" they are so big.
My only gripe with the Court Jester is that the menu doesn't have a big variety (but it isn't that small either), and the spacing is usually very cramped, especially on the far back side of the restaurant.
I do recommend the Court Jester however. I do hope you like it, and I think you will.

I am a frequent patron at the Manalapan Diner because it offers a strong diner experience. What I mean by diner experience is that is just screams diner atmosphere all over the place.
It's got the big booth's, the big tables, the pretty solid service, the relatively low prices, the big portions and the tasty food. The place has some classy hosts and some kind workers. I have seldom received poor service here, and am generally satisfied.
I would recommend this diner for anyone who wants a quick meal, for a nice night out with your family or your date, and enjoy the relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
It's the kind of place where you just like to eat, talk and relax with your friend or your significant other.
Enjoy!

I'll make this known before I get into any depth of a review for this particular restaurant:
I am the head waiter at the direct competition of Jesse & David's, and I must say that this place makes for some competition.
If you are familiar with kosher deli's, whether here in New Jersey or in New York, you probably know that they are generally high-priced. That "staple" of kosher deli's is very much true for Jesse & David's, which comes to be expected, so perhaps you can keep that in mind when going out if you don't want to spend too much cash.
Aside from the prices, the food is just excellent. It is delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
I'd recommend this place highly because it features good food and good service but since I happen to work for its competition...umm...don't go here too frequently!!

It is one of the finer diners in New Jersey. It brims with class and fine visuals in the decorative sense. The waiters are competant, respectful and extremely efficient!
I was wowed by the entire establishment and I look forward to going back.
If you've never been there, you are missing out. Check this one out!

Overall, the place just lacks finesse, but that doesn't mean it is bad. Perhaps best suited for quiet early morning breakfasts.

I am a frequent patron of Huddy's Inn, located in the posh Colts Neck section of New Jersey, and it is certainly one of my personal favorite restaurants.
The atmosphere is very much laid back and subdued, and the food is always a delight!
The prices are exceptionally affordable as well. The desserts can often be a bit pricey, but the entrees, or burgers, or salads are very much kind to your wallet.
Unfortunately, the service can lag a bit, but only on occasion. Generally, I have been satisfied in terms of the service. They are always kind and courteous, so if for some reason, they are seldom slow, it can't be blamed on the waiters' kind demeanors, but on the kitchen itself.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone. It sums up the very idea of a restaurant in a nutshell: a relaxed atmosphere, with good service and great food!
