This restaurant, which used to go by a different name, serves great pan asian dishes, meant to be shared with the table. Though I am a vegetarian, I always have found something yummy on the menu. My favorite item is the tofu yakisoba. It has just the right amount of ginger!
You can eat in the bar for a drink and quick meal or eat in the main restaurant for the full experience BUT it gets quite crowded before/after shows due to it's location so going during on "off" time is highly recommended.
Great bar, too.

Dr. Johnson is great. She is a very laid back, warm, and thorough doctor which is just what I needed when I was pregnant.
Her staff is also very friendly and will promptly return your calls.
What I also admire about Dr. Johnson is that she too is a mother with young children and works part-time. So you will have to deal with the minor incovenience of having an OB who is only available 3x a week, but that was a price I was willing to pay.
She wasn't on-duty when I delivered, but she was the next day, and she stopped by chat. Visits with her were often like chatting with a girlfriend.
I recommend Dr. Johnson to all my girlfriends.

He is very patient and is great at explaining medical jargon in layman's terms. His very laid back nature instantly puts you and your child at ease.
Everyone I know with babies, loves Dr. Kumasaka although it's very hard to get him as your primary doctor since he has such a full patient load. But sometimes you luck out and he's on call when you need an appt that day (at Swedish's West Seattle Children's Clinic).

When asking around for recommendations, this clinic kept popping up.
I had a consultation with Dr Franklin before my baby was born and instantly liked him. He is a very thorough pedi who never makes you feel rushed or like you're asking a ridiculous question.
I have been thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and highly recommend Dr. Franklin.

The funky pie house in Georgetown serves great pizza.
I have always been pleased with their main dish: pizza. My favorite is their white pizza. Pabst fans will be happy to know it is served on tap at this joint.
If you don't feel like pizza, their calzones are huge and YUMMY, with lots of different stuffings to choose from.
The biggest beef is that the pies are kinda pricey ($20) considering the over-all ambiance of this joint.
There is talk about the declining quality and increasingly clichy feel to this joint, but I still enjoy myself everytime I go here!

When I first moved here I searched high and low for the perfect tin-foil burrito...and, look no further because here it is, with yummy salsa to boot! I have really only had their vegetarian black bean burrito..but it is great and very inexpensive. Just the right amount of flavoring, to satisfy your Mexican food urge.
I've been to the Capitol Hill, W. Seattle, and Fremont locations, and all are great- though the Fremont one has the most ambiance, in my opinion.

Located on "Main St" in Burien, this locally owned mix-in ice cream shop is a real treat, and a nice alternative to nationally owned chains. There are toys in the back to accommodate kids. The hours are also great, perfect for that after dinner ice cream snack during the long summer hours.
However, the selection of ice cream flavors is slim and there are no highchairs! Given the large number of babies in the area, you'd think they could invest in a few highchairs. On a recent visit, I had to make do with sticking my 10-month old on my lap.

This baby cosignment store near the Junction is okay. They have the standard mix of baby clothes, toys, books, and other products but you kind of get a dingy feel in this place. Given this dingy feeling, the prices aren't so great and you can usually find the same or better quality product on Craigslist.
However, if you are looking for a specific item and don't have to drive too far to get here, it's worth a look-see.
Recently I was looking for a child bike seat. The store had one, in the box with a manual...the retail price was $99 and they were selling the 3 year-old used item for $45, which isn't that bad, I suppose.
While you may be better off at a garage sale or on Craigslist, but if you don't have the time to bother, you might find what you're looking for here.

I took my mother here for Mother's Day for a manicure/pedicure and this was seriously the BEST pedi I have *ever* experienced. I had the hot stone pedi and it was like an hour long! As a new mom, this was the most relaxing thing ever!
The decor is fabulous and the staff was nice, which is great, because who needs snotty staff when you're shelling out over $50 to have your toes painted?
The area for pedis seats a number of people but you don't feel squished or anything, which is also great for going in a group.
One particularly nice touch was the neck warmer while you getting your toes done!

Great consignment store, but not so great if you're claustrophobic as the items are jam packed all the way up the ceiling! But, this is great in terms of a wide selection of products. They have pregnancy-related items, clothes, and toys including new products making a nice mix of items to choose from. Also the location is great because if they don't have the item you want, you can likely find it new at nearby U-Village or The Right Start.
I bought a used few toys and clothing items for my baby, all were in great shape and very reasonably priced. The staff was also very knowledgeable about baby products and provide suggestions on other stores you might want to check out.
