Loving all things Hawaii, having lived there myself, I absolutely LOVE this store. They sell all things Hawaiian from food products to imported leis! This store is great to just peruse and absorb the wonderful smell of Hawaii (thanks to the tuberose and plumeria leis, there is a GREAT smell lingering in this store). I love buying gifts here and every week they have leis delivered from Hawaii. It's ideal to order ahead of time (call one week ahead)- if you don't know what type of lei you're looking for, go into the store- they have pictures. Otherwise, you can just call your order in. I bought my husband's wedding lei here and often buy leis as birthday presents (tuberose is the BEST).

I stumbled across Kim's via craigslist, where they often post some of their better acquisitons. Kim's is a very crowded consignment store that seems to sell just about everything a child could possible need. Some, if not much of the stuff, has definitely seen better days but occassionally there is a good find. I got a great exersaucer that retails for twice the price.
I called ahead of time to buy the exersaucer and paid over the phone to hold the product.

Gregg's is a great place to not only buy anything bike-related but also to test out products or get more information on a bike-related purchase. The staff are always knowledgable, it's just that it can be hard to locate a free salesperson. They have a great selection of both bikes and accompanying gear. We were recently looking for a child bike seat, and they have a model set up so that you can actually place your child in the seat to see how he or she fits, etc.

Of all the area gyms I've tried, this by far has been my favorite. It's just too bad I live so far from the W. Seattle location.
I am a "class" person and what is great about All-Star is that in the evening hours there is always three different classes going on simultaneously; a yoga/pilates, cardio, and cycling class, so there is plenty to choose from. There is a separate weight room for women, the locker rooms are clean and well-stocked. My absolute favorite feature is the steam room- this alone was my motivation to go to the gym after work. There is also a hot tub, a huge pool, and on-site daycare. What more could you ask for in a gym?

There is just the right amount of zest in the vegetarian burritos. The nachos, quesadillas, and chips are great too.
The prices are rock bottom but the facility itself isn't so inviting...kinda dirty so I always get my burrito to go, unless I'm starving!

I have had a number of massages here including pre and post-natal. All were excellent.
Though the spa is on the smallish side, it is really a great experience and though I live out of town, I make sure to book a massage each time I visit the City.

This Italian restaurant is special to me as it's where I had my first date with my husband, many, many moons ago.
The Ballard location is QUITE small, and the food is decent but what really makes this a great place is the ambiance. The decor provides that old world feel.
Perfect date spot!
Go early or make reservations!

I'm a big fan of Pegasus pizza (particularly their crust) and it's locations is great, at Alki beach.
It's your usual pizza joint, with standard salads to boot.
It's also kid-friendly in a sense that they accommodate families with children BUT my friends and I have noticed how it seems all families with babies are in the back (right) part of the restaurant, so seemingly out of sight out of mind? It's fine in that you don't have to worry other patrons BUT the back location isn't necessarily the most convenient for families as this is where the entrance to the kitchen is so you always have staff going past you and your kids.
For this reason, I mostly get my pizza to go.
