There are a few locations to choose from, although I think the Kirkland location may have closed down? This was one of my favorite places to eat lunch before/after shopping at Bell Square...b/f Bell Square had a tons of eatries...

They serve a great mix of organic foods, from to die-for pastries to yummy lunch items.
Somewhat small, it can get a little crowed during lunch and on Saturdays.
I've heard they serve an *excellent* breakfast BUT they are closed on Sundays...
Another plus is that the bakery is across the street from the baby consignment store Lollipops...

An interesting mix is that they also serve Greek cuisine...where else can you order a side of hummus before your pizza?
We dine here often, and marvel how the staff knows everyones names...
They have a decent wine list. Both the pizzas and pastas are good, served in large portions.

We've eaten breakfast here once...and it's like a fancier up diner, maybe a step-up from Denny's? In fairness to the restaurant, they have their share of regulars and the service was good.
But the menu and the food itself, was...mediocre.
Maybe a good place for the standard breakfast if you're hung-over? Or maybe we're not old enough to appreciate all that is has to offer? My parents (60-ish) were visiting from out-of-town and loved it.

Kidd Valley has a number of locations throughout the Puget Sound- I've been to a number of them and they all seem fairly consistent in quality, though differing in size (the U-Village one being teeny-tiny).
This is a great spot for a quick, big gardenburger. They are known for their shakes as well- they have a tons of flavors...the berry ones are my favorite.
It's too bad they don't sell their Safeco Field famous garlic fries though :(
Ask for a punch card- some employees offer them, others you have to ask. I believe it's Wed that has double punch day :)

Meconi's has GREAT subs. You can order the 6' or a foot-long. The foot-long is a better deal, if you're starving, you can eat the whole thing, or save the other half for dinner.
Also, order the sandwich "melted"...
This place gets SUPER swamped during the 12-1pm lunch hour, especially during the legislative session, so my recommendation is to call ahead and get take-out.

I always recommend the Silver Cloud Inn to out-of-town travelers. There are many locations in the Puget Sound. The University one is where my friends and bridal party stayed and we all enjoyed our experience here. It's within walking distance to U-Village, there is a shuttle service to take you to nearby destinations, and they serve a decent breakfast. For the amenities provided, you can't beat the price. Also staying in University Village or even off Broadway is a nice alternative to staying downtown.

Soundbridge is a music discovery program out of the Seattle Symphony. They offer classes for all age ranges at reasonable prices. There is even a class for infants which I plan on visiting very soon. It is also serves as an interactive kids museum, though I think your money is best spent by taking a class. If you plan on visiting more than once, family memberships are the way to go, as they provide discounts on classes and free discovery center admission.

This zoo is beautiful and really does offer something for everyone. In the summer there are evening concerts. This zoo is great for a romantic date or a day out with the kids. There are many different unique exhibits- be sure to check the website for up to date information. It also seems to be cheapest to buy a family membership, even if you only end up going twice in one year!

Despite the touristy location, the Seattle Aquarium is really worth the visit. I attended a graduation party here, what a perfect venue! Sadly I haven't been back since but plan on going very soon as my son loves fish and fishtanks. The Aquarium also offers many educational programs for kids- check out their website for themes. Recently the theme was sea turtles, my favorite! Unfortunately there aren't any discount days here which is a bummer since adult admission is $12 per person!
