However, this is the best "budget" nail place in the City! Where else can you get a good mani/pedi for under $30 AND in a store WITHOUT fumes? That was a definite plus when I was preggo!
Since there isn't a lot of room here you might have to wait a bit, but the wait is worth it, in my opinion.

This diner-like restaurant is an excellent place to go for breakfast- the menu is your basic breakfast menu but what makes this place stand out among the others is the amazing location & view: The Cliff House.
Park down at the beach and walk up the hill, enjoying the view, or take your out-of-town company here! Surely they will be impressed...
They also serve non-breakfast fare but I like coming here in the mornings the best!
But be forewarned: the line at this little joint can be quite long at time so don't arrive starving.
Enjoy!

Not to mention the huge portions!
This casual eatery is a great place to lunch or have a late breakfast on the weekends...so much so that there can be long lines, but don't let that deter you!
I am particularly a fan of their nutella crepes- YUM.

This tiny pizzeria tucked away in North Beach is the original NB pizza location, of which there are many throughout the area.
Whenever I am showing people around, I love to take through North Beach and eat here- though the restaurant at this location is teeny tiny.
The pizzas are *excellent* with a nice, thick crust.
They also deliver just about everywhere which is great.
On my last visit I was disappointed to learn they don't have any highchairs but this wasn't going to stop me from getting my favorite pizza, so we ordered one to go and ate at the park down the street :) They did have booster seats though- however, that won't help my 10 month-old son!
If you haven't eaten here, you're definitely missing out!

The expansive menu makes this a GREAT place for breakfast, or any other meal, really. They also have crepes, sandwiches, and salads.
I always order the standard eggs or omelet with toast and potatoes...and then a yummy nutella crepe to top it off!
So be sure to come a big appetite and empty stomach!

I love getting together with friends for breakfast here- they have a great breakfast menu, not to mention a variety of crepes, salads, and the like.
My last experience here though was disappointing, thus the 3-star rating (otherwise I would have given it a 4).
The waitress completely mixed-up my order and that of my friend's-- and then tried to deny it, saying " No, you ordered...". HELLO, waitresses need not argue w/the customer. I in fact know I didn't order the mixed up dish b/c it was vege chirizo. I am a vegetarian but never ever would I eat an meat-like food including veg chirizo! And she didn't correct it, nor did she deduct anything from the tab...but we were so hungry, we voiced our concerns, and ate the mixed up omelets anyhow.
I will go back for another shot but if they get my order wrong again AND have an attitude, you can bet I won't be back!

This is one of my two "local" expresso stand. I actually happened to come across this one accidentally, as it's one my path from daycare to the freeway.
The barista always knows my drink, which is great considering I usually switch up my drinks.
The best feature is the barista's ability to have your drink ready for you as you drive up the window...just this morning there was a line of ***6*** cars. I almost didn't stop but desperately needed coffee. Just a few minutes later, there she was w/my drink in hand.
Their prices are very reasonable, they take credit/debit cards (Amen!), and it's easy in/easy out.
They have 4 locations in the Seattle/Burien area.

This is a great place to go if you want Mexican, but not in a take-out kind of way.
Luisa's is actually a relatively "new" restaurant (new name/management/same everything else)...but thankfully, the quality is still on-par.
A treat for the kids (or yourself?) are the home-made corn tortillas made from scratch as you wait to be seated...YUM.
The environment is authentic as Seattle gets, casual, and kid-friendly. But if dining with a room of kids isn't your idea of fun, that's okay because the restaurant is pretty big, with lots of seating options, small booths and bigger tables to accommodate larger parties.
The margaritas aren't bad either.

This is the quintessential neighborhood bar/restaurant for those living in North Seattle (Broadview area). Housed in a house...this is a great spot for drink/apps with friends but a little on the pricey side, or maybe it was the number of martinis we had?
They specialize in spicy foods, and the menu is pretty diverse, and ever-changing. The fry bread is a great companion for your drink at the bar.
For an added bonus, be sure to stop by on a warm evening and dine on their outdoor deck, which fills up quickly.

Small Frye's, a small little down-home shack like joint, used to be my *favorite* place to grab a (garden) burger, fries, and shake while out in the Carnation area.
Their fries are their signature piece- served up in a paper bag.
A few years ago I think the management changed as the food has gone wayyy downhill. Sadly, now it's more of a greasy spoon place, and not so worth the visit...
