I strolled upon this place while checking out some local shops along 152nd (aka "Main Street") in Burien.
This is a very cute craft/scrapbooking store with just about every supply for every occassion.
The store is quite big, unlike similar craft shops, and they also have craft classes! I haven't made it to one yet, but I certainly hope to, maybe around holiday time.
For example, they will have a card making night, and you pay $15 for the class, they provide the space, products, and some instructions, and you get to leave with a handful of cards.
I think it'd make a fun mommies night out activity.

I initially picked this dentist due it's closeness to my house.
They had me hooked with their weekend and evening hours!
I've had just the basic services done here (unlike my husband who's had the works and he's quite satisfied).
I will say they are very nice and willing to work with you. I was having just your ordinary teeth cleaning when I was pregnant, 6.5 months. OMG, it was the worst experience ever, for some reason, I got all hot, felt nauseous, etc. They were very understanding- it totally wasn't there fault...they kept stopping to see if I was okay, and we kept taking mini-breaks so it was probably the longest teeth cleaning ever.
Their patience in this situation is what won me over!
So aside from my advice of NOT going to the dentist while pregnant, unless absolutely necessary, this is a great place to get your teeth done. Nothing fancy, quite the opposite, but it gets the job done!

So, instead of spending you whole day shopping at U-Village, you can go there and make crafts too :) Paint the Town is a cute little paint-it-yourself pottery shop tucked away in U-Village.
Given, it's location, it can be pretty packed at times since I suppose I'm not the only one with the bright idea of make an item for Father's Day with my baby's footprints!
BUT, you can call ahead and see if any groups are coming in (I had just missed a group of pre-schoolers) or find out when they aren't so busy.
Another cool thing is each day of the week there is a different special. For example, at this location you have to pay a studio fee (not all places charge this) in addition to paying for the pottery you paint. The day I went if you brought your child, the studio fee was waived.
The staff were quite helpful in getting my baby's HAND and FOOT prints on the tile we picked out.
You work of art will be ready in about a week, so plan accordingly!

We got there about 9-ish and no line at all.
I was suprised at how big the restaurant is, inside. There were also a few outside seats....and there is a parking lot, which was packed but there is plenty of street parking.
The selection is good, your typical Seattle brunch fare. I had the "Po-ta-ta Frittata" and that was YUMMY. Carmelized onions, potatoes, spinach...and I think cheese with the eggs. That was about $8.
They are also baby-friendly; always a plus in my book. They have many high-chairs, a changing table in the restroom, and a kid's menu; but the breakfast items are $3.95-- so it's probably better to share your plate, as we did, unless you know you're little one will eat most of the their plate :)
V. good and will go back again and since we live close by will definitely take family here.
I've been told after 9:30am, that's when the lines really start.

This is my favorite place to stay in Calistoga, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a "budget-yet-decent" setting.
The rooms are big and clean though definitely old. The benefit is the kitchen unit- perfect for travelling with kids, or to store your picnic fixings.
On the premises are great mineral hot tubs. Even if you don't stay here you can pay the day fee to use the hot tubs, and what a great soak it is!
They also provide various spa services, but I haven't tried them.
Another plus is the location is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Calistoga so you don't have to drive around.
It's like your standard motel, but spruced up a bit.

If you're heading up to Napa from the Bay Area, Cakebread Cellars is a great first stop, in Rutherford.
This small family winery has a small distribution. Tastings are $5 and you get to keep the glass. The wines are excellent and the tasting room is small, meaning it can get packed at times. But don't let that deter you from making a stop here, you'll be happy you did!

V. Sattui is well-known for their free tastings, something of a rarity in the Napa Valley.
This family owned winery does not distribute their wine so you can only but the wine here- which also makes for unique gifts for your friends back home.
Another bonus is that there is a great, though slightly pricey, deli here- perfect for picnicing and there are decent picnic areas outside the winery, though it gets a bit crowded on weekends, and in the high season.
Go mid-week or in the off-season and you'll have the place to yourself!

The calzones are HUGE and a great value! There are a few other menu choices, but really, go here for the calzones and you can't go wrong...

Gordo's Tacqueria is probably the best place outside of the Mission to grab a quick Mexican bite.
Gordo's is teeny tiny- there are a few stools if you really want to stay and eat but this place is much better for take-out. Grab your fare and eat at the park across the street.
The tiny place has a big menu. There are lots of yummy items from your simple quesadilla to burritos.
You can't go wrong here.

If you want to eat out with a large group of friends or celebrate an occassion...Bocce's is the place to go. This restaurant is tucked away along the streets of North Beach. Again, another restaurant you kind of have to know about or you might not just stumble across it.
The place can get pretty packed, good thing there is a full bar so you can get a drink while waiting.
The fare is your standard Italian, served family style.
