Colonial Heights Beauty Academy is a great salon to visit. They provide cuts, perms, manicures, pedicures, facials, braids, and more. All work is performed by supervised students. The rates are considerably less than a traditional salon or spa. You don't need an appointment as it is all first come first served. I would avoid Saturday mornings as that seems to be the busiest time. Weekday nights are pretty slow so you can get right in. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
