Not only did they help my mother and stepfather find a house when they moved here they also became good friends. When I needed a realtor to buy a house they were awesome and showed us so many houses! The house we wanted was through a different company but we wanted to stay with Armstrong/Jurta and they did not let us down! Did you guys know that Wal-Mart's projected sales were supposed to be approx. 3%, but since they announced that they will no longer be having lay a way after this Christmas that their sales were only like .3%!
I love that the people, middle class working families without much money, that have made Wal-Mart what it is today are showing them what we think about their new policies!
I for one have quit shopping there all together. I REFUSE to give my hard earned money to greedy SOB's! If you can not shop at Wal-Mart please don't. I go to my locally owned groceries and other stores now. Wal-Mart may have the lowest prices but they do so at the expense of so many others. They obviously do not care for those of us who have made them into the company they are today, and they will not be getting any more of my money! I hope they ROT!
Since I first started my Wal-Mart boycott over a month ago I have spent a few more dollars here and there and I have to plan my shopping trips a little better, but it is a small price to pay for standing up for what I feel so strongly about! I have also been interviewed to be in a story in the Lexington-Ky Herald on Monday in the business section if you care to look it up.

First of all, it only costs like $5 to get in. It is hand made by a man in the 50's (I think) and is a really cool place to go and see. HE has the tiny spiral staircases and a dungeon. There is a huge terraced garden with some of the most beautiful plants and flowers ever. The man who built it went all over the United States and got rocks to use in the outer shell of the castle. They have the initials of the state carver onto them so you know where they came from.
My grandparents lived in Dayton and would take me down tot the castle quite often. I hadn't been back in YEARS and my husband and I decided to go take the kids on our way to King's Island last summer. So it is kind of a tradition for me.
My picture of my kids was taken there also! Go to the castle and enjoy yourself! It is a great fun place to go.

Out of the two theaters in our town this one is the best...but with State of the Art theaters coming soon to KYOVA Mall this one will soon be obsolete! They are not keeping up with the times and I believe unless they decide to put some money into that theater it won't do very well. There is always something broke in the theater, toilets are always out of order, and some of the theaters have a foul aroma to them.
If you are in town and want to watch a movie by all means go there, but know that we will have better choices for theaters in the near future. If I go to the movies, sorry I have been spoiled, but I want stadium seating, REAL surround sound and the rocking recliner chairs.
It is just old and needs to be updated before it is too far outdated!

I love the China Wok, my kids and husband do too! This place has the best food in Ashland. I have been to every other Chinese restaurant in Ashland and no one makes their food quite as tasty. The have the best General Tso's and Crab Rangoon. Not to mention their other dishes. Everything is piping hot, and delicious. It is always fresh, if it doesn't get eaten and it looks bad she gets some more out on the line.
You can order your food however you would like it but the buffet is the way to go here! They make some of the best fried potatoes I have ever eaten in my life and the Cheese Cake is to die for! I have never honestly eaten anything in this establishment that I wouldn't recommend! If you are in Ashland and want some great Chinese food The China Wok in the Kroger shopping center is the ONLY place to go!

My husband and I usually get a Homewrecker. All of the names of food have some TV significance. If you buy a pitcher of Margarita's it is called a Fun Bobby, from an episode of Friends. Some other things come from Seinfeld and several other shows. They make your food right in front of you and you choose what you want on it the whole way down. If you love good mexican food and love a stimulating and electric atmosphere then go to MOE's!

When you come in you can feel the warmth of the staff. Very rarely can you go to a resturant and not see someone who is being a jerk or just plain rude, but at Katie's it is always a happy, energetic place to be. I have been there at all different times, early day, afternoon, LATE night and the place is always hopping. The food is great, the staff are great. It is nice to be able to eat at a place that isn't a national chain and give you great quality food with service to match!

It is actually the only store in the whole town of Ironton that I patronize and I know that people come from all over the Tri-State to go here. They sell some of the best Patchouli Incense that I have ever smelt.
If I had to rate this store 1-10 with 10 being the highest I would give it a 10. Granny's WE LOVE YOU!

I grew tired of late fees. So my husband and I started Netflix.com when they first started. We have a close distribution center so it takes one day for our movies to get back and one day to get to us. My husband fills our queue up with new releases and we send our movies back on Friday so as to ge the new releases the next Tuesday. No more buying them, unless we really want to keep them forever! If you haven't tried netflix.com you should give it a chance! They are great! We have never had one problem with them.
