This place is very interesting. It sprawls around a courtyard - the set-up feels like you are in your well read uncle's study. With a café and friendly staff - it is very welcoming. It has a personal touch larger chain bookstores have lost in corporatizaiton. Parking can be a hassle - bring quarters because once you get there you are going to want to hang out for awhile. Good place to meet people.

Don't miss the Apple strudel if you have room! Other Bavarian favorites not to miss homemade pretzels and herring, schnitzels, variations on bratwurst, sausage loaf, and, of course, apple strudel and Viennese chocolate cake.

Cute, cozy and unpretentious, Crystal Cafe is a neighborhood favorite, largely due to its generous portions, moderate prices and attentive service - even the chef who will come out and ask you personally "How was everything". There is not a kid's menu but the kitchen has no problem preparing something to order for your little one.

Fantastic service and craftsmanship. He can repair ANYTHING perfectly. I brought in a pair of VERY expensive Italian heels which another establishment refused to touch. One heel was very unique and badly damaged from a boating incident. He fixed it - and there was absolutely no difference between the two of them. Your Prada's will live flawlessly forever with his help.

There are many places on Lincoln, many with an aloof wait staff who could care less - since the tip is included. This is one of the few restaurants where the service matches the level of the great cuisine consistently.
The wait staff and management are thorough, friendly, fantastic with kids, and always make you feel welcome.
An all around great experience.
