Having just bought a new IMAC, I was not in a good mood when I had some problems with the machine. First, bad pixels (fixed by a different shop), second (and far worse) the machine kept locking. I bought the MAC to avoid this problem! After a few calls with Apple, they put me in touch with Techsuperpowers. They came out to my house from Newbury Street, tore down the computer, but the equivalent of a motherboard in, and ran all kinds of tests to make sure none of my memory chips or other "things" were causing any problems. They did a great job, as my computer runs like a dream now (as was hoped). Their rep was timely, and did a great job.

They are very opinionated about paints and the quality of different brands, but I have found that their recommendations have stood up very nicely. Color matching is available. We have also purchased borders. Other accessories such as curtain rods and fixtures are also available.

Landery’s Bicycles is a nice open shop with a fair amount on display. Prices are certainly good, in fact better than most shops, but not the absolute best if you are really price shopping. Lots of accessories are available and the employees seem to be biking enthusiasts themselves. They have a nice parking lot to try out road bikes in.

The Bicycle Barn is a great find and one easily missed unless you pull into the unpaved parking lot of the old building on Route 9 on the Westbound side. Bicycle Barn offers just about everything the larger shops offer, and at much better prices. The manager of the store is a rider and knows his products. I have purchased two bikes there, one for an adult and one for a child. If they don’t have the model or size bike you are looking for, they can get it as quickly as any other bike shop I have found.

The Photo Boutique is a great little camera store located in Westborough on Route 9. The employees are willing to show you pictures they have taken with their cameras so that you can see the potential results of your purchase. They are knowledgeable and good to work with. The only downside is that they do not have the buying power of Best Buy, and therefore are more expensive.

Prices are outrageous and the beer selection was limited. Recycling also provides an aroma of stale beer common in many package stores in the North East. Unfortunately it’s not a smell most fine quaint.

Berlin Orchards provides fantastic hay rides and apple picking during the fall. Local schools commonly take class field trips to this great orchard. The orchard is quite expansive and the views from the tops of apple tree covered hills are great. Ice cream is also available at the main building making a nice end to a sunny day picking apples.

The Ski and Golf outlet is a great place for beginners to pick up equipment at reasonable prices (and by beginner, I mean anyone not touring). Exchanges only make outlet buying a little intimidating, but the company has been in business a long time now, and seems well established. Customer service is very good, and they seem to know their customers needs. If last years golf bag is good enough for you this year, this is a great place to shop. If you are buying a new bag every year, I wonder what you are doing with your bag!

The Nashoba Valley Winery offers a variety of activities and shopping. Apple picking is one of the top rated activities, but I believe you can pick peaches and other fruit. Pumpkins are also sold, but I have not seen them in the fields, only in the store. Many fairs and tasting are hosted including fantastic beer and wine tastings. The wine shop is open year round and deserves a sampling.

If you are driving by, they are great for a healthy snack. Prices are normal for a farm stand, and the selection is much bigger.
