I've been going to Paseo for many years (I lived nearby from 1992 to 2004). I love their sandwiches - just make sure you roll up your sleeves first - they're messy! The rice and beans are excellent, as well, although the spiciness varies day-to-day - it's been too hot for my son a couple of times, but usually it's just right. Actually, almost everything is good. I've never tried the tofu dishes, but I've had everything else. The corn on the cob is usually nasty, but that's just a side anyway.
They recently remodeled, expanding out into what used to be the entryway - it's still tiny, but not quite as tiny as it used to be.
I ALWAYS call in my order ahead of time, as otherwise you'll sit and wait for quite a long time before you get your food.

We happened upon a little Thai restaurant in King City last weekend. It's one of those that you probably wouldn't go to unless either someone told you about it or you didn't know where else to go (the latter being our situation), as it is in a little mall amidst various and sundry random shops. However, it was quite good. We had (forgive my spelling...) Tom Kha soup, the pork egg rolls, Phad See Uwe, Pa Nang Chicken, and some sort of peanut-sauce dish (I can't eat peanuts, so didn't try that one). Everything I had was excellent, and our 4-year-old son snarfed down the Tom Kha soup and Phad See Uwe like it was going out of style. Not that he's terribly picky about Thai food, but it does mean that they were able to tone down the spiciness appropriately - he doesn't like really spicy food, and some places seem to make everything hot no matter how you order it. The Pa Nang had me sweating, so I know they have decent range...

We've been very happy with the experience that our 3-year-old son has had at Morning Star Preschool. We chose it primarily for the social structure that it provides, and have been very pleased with the results. Miss Karen and her staff provide a very structured, consistent, and effective atmosphere for the kids, as well as very good feedback and advice to us as parents on how we can reinforce good behavior, react to bad behavior, and good answers to questions that we have about any kind of developmental issues.
They told us up front that if we were looking for a rigorous academic program that we should look elsewhere, but since we have no concerns in that area we didn't worry about it. (He's naturally very curious and smart, so doesn't need any special encouragement there - his favorite magazine is Science News, and simplistic explanations of the pictures is NOT tolerated - trying to explain a diagram of quantum tunneling exercises my mind as much as his, I suspect...). Despite that, from what I've seen they do provide appropriately challenging activities - they just don't force the kids to progress at any specific rate.

My 3-year-old son developed a cavity between his two front teeth (too many faceplants...) and our old dentist couldn't get him in on a reasonable timeframe, so we tried Dr. Lingam at Green Valley Family Dentistry in Duvall. She has a very modern office (computerized X-Rays - first time I'd seen that!) and appears to be very up on current dentistry practices - they don't do any amalgam fillings, for example. She has a great chairside manner, and was able to do the entire procedure in one sitting (pretty amazing, given that it involved two fillings in the mouth of a very active 3-year-old!) without resulting in an eternal fear of dentists.
A month or two later I managed to crack apart one of my teeth (old amalgam filling split my tooth apart - apparently that is not uncommon), so had the privilege of experiencing Dr. Lingam's care firsthand. Although going to the dentist is never a pleasant experience it was much better than my past visits to other dentists. She did a good job removing the old filling and replacing it with a porcelain one, and her office even called a day or two afterwards to make sure that it felt ok!
So, based on those two experiences, I'd highly recommend her.
(Note that this form made me select a Specialty, so I just chose the first one as I'm not even sure what most of them are...)

My family and I have stayed at the Best Western Northwind several times over the past couple of years, as it is close to Devonwood, an equestrian facility in Sherwood. We used to stay in Newberg, which is about the same distance from Devonwood but in the opposite direction, but like the Best Western Northwind a lot more than any of the hotels we tried in Newberg. This is not a fancy resort hotel like we usually stay in, but it is comfortable, friendly, clean, and has some nice amenities - a pool and jacuzzi, free wireless Internet access, a good free continental breakfast (complete with do-it-yourself waffle maker!), work-out room, etc. The rooms are relatively large, must have been updated recently as everything looks fairly new, and are clean. Rooms (or at least the ones we've stayed in) have small refrigerators and microwaves. The beds are comfy.
I can't figure out the front-desk staff, though - we were there for 4 days last week, coming and going at odd hours (we had a horse at Devonwood, so had to feed her early in the morning and check on her late at night) and the same two people were always there, whether we were going out at 5:30 am, coming back mid-afternoon for a nap, or coming back in at 11 pm after doing night check. Maybe they sleep behind the desk in between helping guests?!?
