When you go, though, bring a sweater because they keep the eating area COLD.

I went Dr. McWilliams 4 times before I got my PCP to change my gynecologist to someone who was better suited for me. I have endometriosis. He was willing to do a C&D (outpatient surgery) on me before he would *consider* (his words, not mine) giving me hormones to control my problem. He gave off the impression that he was very anti-birth control.
The long and short of it is, his staff is great, but if you're going in with hormonal issues, Dr. McWilliams is probably not the gynecologist for you.

I've been going to Dr. Earl B Britt for over 2 or 3 years now. We're required to come in every 3 months minimum -- and usually a lot more often. My appointments are always around 2:00 p.m., but it's a rare day that I'm out of there before 4:30 or 5:00; I've started bringing a book.
Britt rarely seems to listen to anything his patients say, and I've had him laugh at alternative medicine. He's in this for the money at this point, I would say.

This bookstore has the worst customer service I have encountered in my life. A few examples:
* Sit on the floor to examine a book = trying to steal from them
* Been open 3 hours but only one register in the entire store is open
* Rude employees
* Ruder management
* Poor organization
I'm afraid someone's going to have to pay me to go back here.

Forget going to Starbucks and paying ridiculous prices for chintzy drinks: All Saints Cafe is the way to go. The drinks are better (and usually bigger), but the prices are cheaper. You don't end up paying out the nose for bad coffee; everything I've had there tastes great. It's open 24/7 with plenty of room and couches for studying and outlets for laptops. If you've never been, stop by today and give them a taste!

If you like cooking Asian or buying your own fresh fish (and you'll smell it coming in), Mike's is the place for you!
I'm not much of a fish eater, but whenever I'm in Mike's, there is always a line of people at the back fish counter.
However, it's the Asian Market that grabs my attention - and my wallet - every time. Tofu here is in general $1.25 cheaper than any grocery store for the same brand. Miso is about $2 cheaper than Fresh Market. Soba noodles are roughly $1 cheaper than World Market. And then there's all the various ingredients and treats (like lychee or coffee-flavoured candy or duck eggs) that most grocery stores would never even think of stocking.
Can't recommend highly enough.

Tallahassee has two Big Lots stores that I'm aware of: the one on Pensacola Street and this one. Of the two, I much prefer this one: it's cleaner, the staff is nicer, it's better organized, and it has a better selection.
Great for seasonal items, as well as picking up some canned groceries and pasta.

There are two Big Lots in Tallahassee that I'm aware of: the one on the corner of Apalachee Parkway and Capital Circle, and this one. In this particular store, located on Pensacola Street next to the Westside Post Office, everything is in a jumble. No effort seems to be made to keep things neat or organized.
In general, speaking for myself, I only go to this Big Lots if I need something like a lot of pasta for cheap on short notice - in other words, something I know the exact location of and doesn't change. If I need anything else, I will willingly drive across town to the other Big Lots. It's better organized, the staff is friendly (by which I mean, they don't treat you like a pariah for interrupting social hour to try to ring out), and it's cleaner.
There's plenty of stuff at the Pensacola Big Lots, but only go there if you don't mind spending a while looking for what you want.

Always a great place to stop in for a quick and relatively inexpensive Mexican meal, Los Compadres is one of the better places in Tallahassee. The atmosphere is always friendly, several TVs are playing, and the staff is always polite, fun, and helpful.
I always order off the Vegetarian section, and so far I haven't had a bad meal there yet!
I can't recommend this place enough!
