This cinema is in the student center at Vanderbilt, but is open to the public. They show second run films, and classic movies. It is really cheap, only five dollars, and cheaper if you are a student. There is free parking for patrons, which is nice since parking can be a mess in downtown Nashville. It is always worth it to check the schedule and see what is playing at Sarratt since is so much cheaper than other cinemas.

Chaffin's has been around longer than I can remember. While it is a drive from Nashville, it is usually worth it. They have a nice dinner buffet and a play or the ticket price. The plays are generally very good. The space isn't very big, but the choice of plays is always ambitious. The buffet is pretty good. I enjoy going to Chaffin's. It is a Nashville institution.

This is a very popular place in the summer. It has everything...water slides, big pools and kiddie areas, a sandy beach, picnic areas, mini-golf, paddle boats, you name it. It can be very crowded on the weekends. The facilities are well maintained and clean. They have fireworks on the 4th and other themed days and parties. It can be rented out for private functions. It's a great place to take your kids of all ages. You can't bring in your own picnic stuff, just water, but you can leave the stuff in your car and go out of the park and eat in the picnic areas. It's worth the admission price.

Laser Quest has a nice big laser tag area. They are very popular with kids and teens. They have lock-ins, where you drop off your teen, and they lock the door and noone is allowed out until 6am. My son has been to a ouple lock ins and had a blast. They played laser tag all nite and ate junk food and sodas from the machines. He and his friends were exhausted the next morning, but I never worried about their safety. The staff is very responsible. They also have a room for birthday parties.

NCT is a Nashville instition. They have undergone some name changes over the years, but has stayed essentially the same. They offer quality, fun, children's plays most of the year. Schools bring their classes, parents bring their kids and enjoy the plays. During the summer, they also offer drama classes for children. THe building has an old charm to it, even thougth it's a modern building. I enjoyed plays here as a child, and so did my son.

This place is great! It has Mini golf, Go-Karts, Batting Cages, Blaster Boats, an arcade, and a party room, if you want to have a birthday party there. I have taken my son there for his birthday party, and the kids had a great time! They played mini golf and had cake and played in the arcade. The staff was very helpful and I would definately reccomend taking your kids there.

If you like wave pools, this is a nice one. It is small compared to some pools, but it is generally well maintained and the facilities are clean. There is a water slide and picnic area. You can bring in your own drinks and cooler and have lunch there. There are floats and mats for rent for a small price. During the summer when it's open, it can be really crowded. It is in a park that has a nice playground and a skate park area for roller bladers and skate boarders. There is an entrance fee for the pool.

This is a really cute store. They have everything you could need if you sew or embroider. They sell lovely christening outfits and will help you make your own. They have classes and demonstrations for all types and aspects of sewing. This store has been in Donelson for some time, and I cannot imagine what people who sew or knit would do without it. THe ladies who run it are so nice and helpful, and the store is well stocked with all sorts of things for knitting, sewing or any type of emroidering.

They have nice potted plants, like mums, and other fall plants. They have some deorative seasonal items, and are starting to get in Christmas things. The staff seems nice. I am glad to see someone move in to this space. I used to really like the garden store that used to be here.

This furniture store has very nice furniture and persian rugs. They also have hand-painted screens and trunks. There is a designer who will do in-home consultation, for a price, of course. You can get entire rooms of furniture, or just a few pieces. I wish the lighting was a little better, but the staff is really helpful. I have bought a few pieces from this store. They run discounts in the local Coupon CLipper magazine, which is great since they aren't alway the cheapest place in town.
