Heavenly is a wonderful ski resort located in South Lake Tahoe. It can get rather crowded, but there are tons of great slopes and lifts. Heavenly is pretty expensive too, it is one of the more expensive ski resorts, but still is one of the popular ones. I recommend it if you're not on a budget.
