People all over the country listen to KEXP, and there's a good reason for it. The DJs are exceptionally well informed and intelligent. They consistently provide high quality music with a minimum of ridiculous chit-chat. They also have regular live in studio performances by various bands. Cheers KEXP! There is a downside. I've gotten so used to KEXP that regular radio gives me malarial shivers.

They make you pay a fortune for that wedding. After all, it's an industry, you know? So how do you decide what's actually worth paying for and what's just a waste? I'll give you a hint. Pay for the photographer. If you ask Uncle Frank to be in charge of the photos, you'll regret it. Seeing CB in action, I appreciate that the professional photographer isn't just an artist and a professional, he's a wrangler, traffic cop, undercover agent, and journalist all in one. I heartily recommend CB for any occassion.

Referral services proflierate, and each has to justify why it is better than the last to survive. Citysearch, the venerable grandfather, has been of failiing health. Every time I visit, another feature has vanished into electronic senility. Was maintaining the site just too much work? Did the original architects leave an inheritance of spaghetti code? We may never know. Judy's Book still lags behind the competition in some areas. Citysearch is better for searching in a narrow area, and InsiderPages has more businesses listed. Judy's search engine is also merely so-so. On the other hand, Judy's communications and networking is a generation beyond the others. Presumably Judy can catch up in search technology and depth of content. Organizing the site by "posts" rather than business is a good step, IMHO. Judy's has huge potential and is only going to get better.

The last movie I saw here was Reefer Madness with a special screening of Sonny Bono's 1970's anti-drug public service announcement. The theatre was almost lost several years ago, but friends and neighbors of the theatre pitched into save and restore it. There's also a cafe attached to the theatre.

Best of all, they're right on Capitol Hill, so we don't have to drive out to Aurora and then try to figure out how to get home when our car needs a tune up.

This is probably your best pizza in Seattle. They also deliver. The restaurant itself has an energetic atmosphere and is a good place to stop for a bit at any time of the day or night. The non-pizza food is so-so at best, but then again, this IS a pizza place. Only one size pizza is availble (though slice or half sizes can be purchased)
