I love to research, and when it comes to my hair, I can become obsessive about reading reviews before trying it out. After reading so many great things about Seven, I decided to try it out.
After two color & cuts, I definitely wish I could give a better review. First of all, I hate to admit when my research does not match the anticipated result. (This explains why I tried both salons before coming to my unfortunate conclusion). More importantly, if I'm going to spend a fortune, I expect a result that is exceptional.
Both the Bellevue and Seattle salons are attractive and trendy, and both stylists were nice, but is that what is going to convince you to spend $100-200 more for the same item at a slightly less posh (yet amazing) salon? I think not, but you may feel differently.
Details, you ask? My hair can range between straight, naturally curly and just plain frizzy. I give them kudos for cutting my hair to accommodate this (ie. not cutting too short and therefore avoiding the springy over-curled bits), but am disappointed with the color. Yes, the color! (This is supposed to be their selling point). I've had other stylists pick amazing colors that complimented me before, but both times at Seven, the stylists chose hues that were too blonde for my complexion and this just washed me right out. I'm a brunette so this was a bit surprising. It instantly aged me, and I'm only in my mid-twenties.
If you want to check out this salon, cross your fingers and bring a fat wallet. You may have a great experience like many of the other reviewers, but if it were me, try something else and use the savings to buy yourself something special!

Yes, yes. I agree wholeheartedly about the annoying wait at this restaurant. Both times I've gone, I arrived promptly at 5pm when they opened and have both times been the last person seated. The parties immediately after us were told to come back in 45 minutes. Yikes!
Given that I've never had a horrible wait, I will proceed to share the high points of this experience. I love their margaritas, served up strong like they should be, and made with high quality tequila - Amazing! Some chips and a variety of salsas available at the self-service salsa bar are a great way to wet the appetite and counteract the aforementioned drink.
Unlike many "Mexican" restaurants, the items on this menu are tasty appetizer size plates. If you value quantity, you may be disappointed if you order certain items. I found that the best bang for your buck would be the pork or chicken tamale. They come in a lovely mole sauce and are truly filling. I'd venture to say they are the best I've had in a long time!
Pros: Mole, margaritas!!
Cons: Parking, Shared seating arrangement

My first experience at this restaurant made me wish I had bought the same items at the Thai place around the corner for approximately 1/10th the cost at Wild Ginger. A few months later, I was invited here again and was able to ascertain that they actually have a handful of yummy items and am wiser about squeezing the true value out of this place.
There is one item that I find truly amazing: Young Mountain Lamb Satay. Forget about proper entrées, stick with a few orders of this! A couple of ginger martinis and some skewers of this heavenly lamb make a delectable mix. If you're feeling extravagant, I'd highly suggest the duck entrée that comes with fluffy buns.
Bottom line -- The majority of this restaurant is hype, so go into the experience with low expectations and try out the items I mentioned above. Even better yet, pop down to the lounge in their basement and enjoy the satay and martinis with better atmosphere!
Helpful hint: If you feel like replicating the lamb satay yourself, you'll find the recipe on the Wild Ginger web site!

Updated review: Recently I've had the craziest interactions regarding their so-called "free delivery". Bear with me here, and maybe you can understand the math. I ordered about $20 of stuff (just for myself) to make it worth their while, even though I live very close by. I was told that they don't actually have free delivery like their website states, but that there is a $20 minimum. When I explain that I've ordered $20 worth of stuff, they say that I didn't. After I list everything I've ordered, it's price, and the total, they admit that I have. I'm then told that the minimum for delivery is now $30. I explain that it's just me, and there is no way I can justify ordering that much. Then they say that if I go back to the $20, they will kindly offer me a $3 delivery fee. I decline. I'm stuck at home injured after a car accident and it's not worth it to me to haggle for my dinner. I really love the food from this restaurant, but the run-around is unpleasant and I just don't feel good about it. Bottom line: Be honest with your customers. They will pay for things you ask for, but don't bait and switch. Not only is it bad for business, it's illegal!
Original review: Everyone has different tastes, but I am shocked that there are unfavorable reviews of this restaurant! This is one of our favorite neighborhood places. The butter chicken is lovely, and aloo tikki comes in an addictive sauce that you can dip naan into (raita + tamarind = sweet but spicy). Please try this place yourself and let me know what you if you disagree! The best deal is their lunch buffet.
