Waldameer is such a great park for families. There are enough rides to be interesting but the park is small enough to not feel overwhelmed. The food is great too, and the water park is refreshing on a summer day! There is no admission charge and parking is free also, so it can be a reasonable family fun day.

They have several Nascar related events and co-operate with local places to have fund raising events for churches, organizations, etc. Lots of fun for any race enthusiasts.

They also have pastas, sandwiches and homemade soup. be prepared to wait for a table on Friday and Saturday though.

One could very easily overlook this restaurant but DON'T! It is kind of hidden away in an area that doesnt have a lot of businesses, but the food is worth seeking it out. It is homemade Italian cuisine at it's best! It is a familyu owned restaurant that has mostly all Italian food. I think there may be a steak on the menu but that's about it. So make sure you are in the mood for great Italian food.

The Oakwood is a good place to take the family for a casual meal. The pricing is reasonable and the food is very tasty. They have 2 homemade soups each day. Their Rueben sandwich is voted the Best in Erie. Also the hot meatlaof sandwich with french fries is my favorite. A fill bar is also connected to the dining room. Usually fast service also.

I hadn't dined at this restaurant until recently and I was so impressed with the large and varied menu selections. And there were some wonderfully tasty sounding specials also. My partner had a seafood fettucini dish that was so impressive with mussels, shrimp, fresh fish and crab in a tomato sauce. Great presentation. My meal was equally delicious.

The decor of this restaurant is unique. It is an old firehouse converted to a dining place. It has high ceilings and old firefighting items. The food is exceptional also. The dinners are varied with specials and the desserts are great. But the best part is their Sunday Brunch. A reasonable price for a nice selection(that varies weekly) including a fresh omelet station and belgian waffles with strawberry topping.

If you need a gift for a religious occasion such as a Baptism or First Communion this would be my suggestions. They have lovely statues and other commemorative items along with traditional rosaries and prayerbooks.
