Looking for something different in Las Vegas

Sunday, March 05, 2006
What on earth could possibly be out of the ordinary in a bizarre place such as Las Vegas? Well there certainly isn't much, but I think visiting a museum just might qualify. The Atomic Testing Museum is a fascinating and rare look behind the scenes at the history of Atomic testing and the Atomic bomb. Funded privately and most certainly by some government sponsorship the museum offers a thorough look at atomic testing, atomic culture and current atomic progress. Interesting artifacts are located everywhere and the highlight of the experience is the theater, where you get to experience a taste of what observing an atomic test might be like. This museum is certainly not for the Vegas party sorts, but is an off-the beaten path find for anyone interested in Atomic testing or even a baby-boomer feeling nostalgic for a trip down memory lane. The kids, unless they are braniacs, probably won't be impressed.
