The Wisconsin State Fair is a great place to go. It is something I have gone to yearly since I was a child, only missing a dozen or so years due to being stationed out of the country or state with the Army.
There are lots of rides, and great food to try out. Larger companies come out and set up with representatives giving away samples and such.
There is a raffle each year where you can win a home.
There is a lot to do. Bring a good pair of walking shoes and bring your appetite too. Plan on taking a couple of trips back to your vehicle with all your goodie bags also.
Don't be scared off with the overpriced parking. The charges are needed in order to keep the facility up to par. And they just did a bunch of updates to the place.
