Traveling for business and I only stayed for one night at this hotel We landed in Atlanta before dawn, Embassy allowed us an early check-in and that was very much appreciated. They also directed us to the complimentary breakfast. I was very pleased with this hotel and their staff because they went above and beyond to help when needed. The first day there we took the shuttle and service was efficient and on the return trip the driver offered to take our work associates (staying somewhere else) back to their hotel. (after hearing they planned to walk from ours) It had been a really long day. (after 9:00PM)
Room was clean, spacious and if your staying longer, there is a refrigerator and microwave. Loved the open/airy feeling of the Hotel. Breakfast was very good and lots of choices and once again efficient service for the number of people to be served.
Good job Embassy Suite! I'd definitely return.
PS Our work associates stayed at one of the leading hotels (twice the expense) with horrible service.

This hotel has the advantage of being nearly new, so almost every surface is clean and gleaming. In fact they were celebrating one year of operation during my stay. The lobby and grounds in general are impeccable, even the carpet (as expected) looks just installed.
Once in the room I was surprised to discover the room was smallish. Certainly average to below average size. Perhaps my room was worse than most but I was dissapointed. Compounding the cramped feel was a tiny tube TV in a large cabinet. Such a new and expensive hotel deserves larger LCD TV's in my opinion.
My mood brightened considerably when I entered the bathroom. Large and well done, with pleasing marble on the floor and shower and dark granite accents all around. The heavy glass shower doors were a bonus and the separte tub a nice touch.
Being a social loser, I ordered room service both nights I was there. I was treated to probably the best room service meals ever. I have stayed in top hotels in Maui, Chicago, and New York, and I would put the food in this hotel up with the best. The second night I indulged in a burger, and although not a gourmet choice it was outstanding, one of the best burgers I have ever had anywhere. Considering the cost of the room I didn't find the food prices to be out of line.
One night after dinner I wandered down to the bar and was greeted by live music which was quite good. Evidentailly this is available every night and is a nice bonus.
A big advantage of this hotel is location. Walk to Lenox and Phipps Plaza, among the best malls in metro Atlanta. The train station (Marta) is only a block and a half away, providing extremely easy access to the airport and other attractions downtown. Finally, you are near Peidmont Ave, home of some excellent resturants within easy walking distance. I would recommend this as one of the best locations in Atlanta.
There were two big negatives which hurt this hotel and took away a top rating. First, the walls are poorly insulated allowing one to hear everything in the room next to you. I was actually awoken by a rather loud snoring next door, and I could clearly hear converstaion in the other room. Whoever built this place as a 5-star hotel should be sued and then keel-hauled for shoddy construction, there is no excuse for this type of noise when the walls in a Hampton Inn are quieter!
Second, I experienced a couple houskeeping missteps. One of the bath towels had a dead spider on it, and another the next day had a long black hair on the outside! This was a white towel, can you please look at the towels prior to hanging?
In sum, a nice place. Bring earplugs, and let's hope the houskeeping manager is fired so we can justify a 5 star mark.

We stayed for memorial day weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a great two room suite and with two small children (ages 3yrs. and 16 months) the space was wonderful! The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, they supplied a great pack n play crib for our daughter, and the breakfast buffett was hot and healthy for children. My husband and I would highly recommend this place and We will stay here again when we visit Atlanta.

I stayed here over the Labor Day holiday and was fairly impressed. At check-in, the attendant thought I had booked through Priceline because my rate was so low (found an excellent promotion) and I was given a room on the 8th floor. Room was OK, with a view of GA 400 and a strip mall. Bathroom is very small and you have to be careful because the counter is on top of the toilet, so it is very easy to have your toiletries fall into the toilet. The bed was very comfortable, but the room did show some signs of wear (water damage on the ceiling, some cigarette burns on the carpet). Housekeeping was extremely pleasant and did a thorough job. The A/C in the room wasn't the best, it could some time adjusting/getting used to. There's a business center with 2 computers that are available free of charge. Lenox Mall is walkable (same side of the street) and can be reached in approximately 10 minutes, or you could use the hotel shuttle service. MARTA is literally one block away from the hotel and I took it from the airport. I am a Priority Club member and wasn't placed on the Priority Club floor, but I didn't press it, due to my great rate. The lobby is small and there are only 2 elevators for guests (1 is for service), but traffic seemed to move in and out fairly well. Beware, if you have guests over, they can only park for free for 30 minutes, after that they will be charged the $6 day rate. I asked for a late checkout and was accomodated. I will stay here again on my return trips to Atlanta if I get the discount rate. If you are looking for a top-notch place, this isn't it, but with great shopping and nightlife nearby, you won't likely be in the room much.

I was pleased to find that this La Quinta definitely held up its rating. I booked a standard king room but was gladly given a free upgrade, as there was a suite available, upon request at no extra charge. The staff was friendly at all times and the breakfast was by far one of the better continental breakfasts' I've ever had. It does take a little while to get into downtown with traffic but it can be painless(as long as traffic isn't bad of course) and a straight shot in town on the toll road that is conveniently next to the hotel. I will definitely stay here again until I feel the urge to pay the astronomical prices to stay downtown.

My husband and my son and his friend stayed at this hotel from July 2 - July 5. The beds were absolutely wonderful! There was so much room in the suite. My son loved the pool and my husband loved the weight room. There was 2 tvs in the suite so my husband and I could watch one and then my son and his friend could watch the other. Everyone in the hotel was wonderful. Had no issues at all. Also, I got ink on a shirt of mine and you can either have it cleaned or you can use the washer and dryer that is down by the pool room. I was able to immediately wash my shirt and dry it so the ink would not stain. We will be staying here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Although they gave me a room with double beds because they ran out of king beds supposedly, the rest of the stay was perfectly fine. They indeed do give you two delicious chocolate chip cookies when you arrive. They were to die for! yummu yummy!
The room itself was lovely and clean. The bathroom decor was splendid. The staff was very responsive and friendly. They offer a courtesy shuttle to get you around to places in the area. If I were to return to Buckhead, I would definitely stay again.

Got put here when I named my price. Did we get lucky! Wonderful location in Lenox Mall altough we found it hard to get in and out without mistakes. Good sized room, nice amenities. Concierge couldn't have been more helpful. $15 self parking high and $10 day for high speed internet is too much. We used dialup at $1.00 per local call. I don't know why less upscale chains can afford free access while 4 and 5 star hotels don't give it away. I hate the feeling I'm being nickled and dimed. In room safe convenient. Staff helpful. And to confirm, we're jeans and guccis people and never felt like we were underdressed.

I can't really think of any real negatives about the Hotel Indigo. Yes, the bathrooms are small (but incredibly, not the smallest I've had to deal with - NYC holds that title), and the dining options are limited. But, since we knew that going in, I can't call those negatives; they're simply facts of life. I didn't go to Atlanta to sit in a tub or eat at the hotel restaurant, so it didn't matter to me.
We stayed at the Indigo because it's dog friendly, the price was right ($115/night), and the convenient location. I kind of expected a place a little tattered or worn - maybe because of the dog friendly aspect - but it was every bit as nice, fresh and clean as it's website photos claim. The only hint of its pet policy was people walking through the lobby with their dogs - and the guys running around ready to clean up after them (although it appeared that cleaning up after the dogs wasn't often necessary!). The staff was very friendly to us (we snagged a lot of treats for the dog, too) and the room was very spacious and bright.
We were about a block from the Marta station, and only had to retrieve our car once (fortunately, because the Rockettes are currently performing at the Fox Theatre, and the Hotel's parking garage was getting a big workout from it). There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, so the lack of hotel dining options wasn't an issue for us.
I used the fitness center twice. It was small, but quite servicable (two treadmills, and elipitical machine and a bicycle; a universal-type of weight system, and a few mats for sit ups, etc.). It was accessible 24 hours a day, and it appeared not many guests were taking advantage of it.
Basically, the hotel is as advertised - maybe a little modestly appointed, but what it does, it does very well. It's clean, comfortable, cheerful and really an excellent value. I'd not hesitate to stay there again - with or without the dog!

this hotel is incredibly impressive. initially, both my DH and i had our doubts - especially after we booked this online for about $65/night! i mean, c'mon - who charges rates THAT cheap and expect decent quality/service. but i had some well-placed faith in my other tripadvisor reviewers and decided to take the plunge and boy, i was not disappointed.
whoever remodeled this hotel did some fabulous renovations. the business lounge was populated w/ state of the art computers, flat screen monitors & wide 50' plasma tvs! additionally, it was conveniently located next to the mocha mondo cafe.
the room itself is really great - equally comparablet to say that of a suite in the venetian (las vegas) only far more comfortable and tastefully decorated. even the bathroom ammenities were top-notch.
as for room service, let's just say - it's definitely not on the cheap side. our first (and only) order was equivalent to one night's stay but that's probably due to the fact that my DH ordered the steak, desert & wine!
here's a great example of how wonderful their service is. upon arrival and after unpacking, i found out that my poor luggage was badly damaged during the transit. at 11PM, i called the front desk to see if there was a screwdriver available and a gentleman brought to my front door in ten minutes flat. note - this was on a saturday night and the hotel was quite busy with three visiting conventions! now that's service!
