Definitely one of best lunches I have ever had in Seattle, I think. It was a late afternoon on a random sunny day a few weeks ago. When it's warm (over 50-55) and sunny outside, they open the huge garage doors in the front of the place and make it an open-air restaurant, essentially. Really packed some times!
The food was magnificent. I had a veggie-wrap with sweet potato fries, which were INCREDIBLE! I can't remember what the heck the others in my party had to eat, but they raved about each item. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, particularly on a sunny, warm day.
I have only had lunch here.

Went on a Thursday night without reservations - larger group (6 of us)... were treated with very little respect. I feel very belittled when I go out with a group of students and am treated as we are ten years younger. We were not asked for drinks, were not given specials, handed our meals and NOT ONCE asked how our meal was. Turns out, the food was excellent. It's a shame the service left much to be desired. I'm sure the treatment would have been different if we were a group of 50-somethings, but who's to say we don't have twice as much money as they would? Nothing ticks me off more than receiving poor service due to my age. My final word: If you're over 30 and with 4 or less, give it a shot and pray you don't get our waiter.

If I want a cheap eat, I go to Thai Tom. If I want to please a trendy Fremont friend, I go to Jai Thai. However, if I want to enjoy myself with some fantastic Thai cuisine with elloquent service, I head to Orrapin on Queen Anne.
Orrapin has quickly become one of my favorite joints in Seattle. The service is quick, yet respectable and polished. Atmosphere is very simple, cozy, and quiet. The spring rolls are to die for, and their curry is the best in town. ...try something other than Phad Thai!!!

EVERY time, without fail, I have been extremely disappointed with the service at the Fremont location. With large parties (3+), the food has always come out at different times. They have always been quite impolite and ignorant when it comes to "good service." and SLOW!
With all of that said, however, the food is great. Their Phad Thai is superb, and takeout has no complaints! Go with a buddy or go somewhere else. Under no circumstance would I recommend going with a group of any size.

Any time between 5-7, you'll most likely have to wait outside for 10 minutes, but no longer. They'll take your order before you're seated, and your food usually arrives moments after you sit down. Certainly not a place to take a friend or colleague to have a conversation, but a good place to swing by for a quick eat. The portions are large for the low cost, but the quality lacks. Unless you're a Thai expert, however, I doubt you'll notice. They're heavy on the grease and sauce, but hey, it's FILLING!
Overall, it's a fun experience - or great takeout (I would estimate over half their business is takeout). Give it a shot for a $10 meal!

@ Either location: Bring your laptop (preferably a MacBook) after 5:00 or feel quite out of place! Zoka's is packed with students almost EVERY night and bikers & soccer moms in the morning. Excellent atmosphere, FANTASTIC coffee, mediocre service (maybe it's due to the lack of tips @ night!). Their pastries are incredible. ...Oh, and avoid UW, SU, or SPU's finals weeks AT ALL COSTS!

I don't understand the hype. When I moved to Seattle a few years ago, an OUT-OF-TOWNER recommended this place! However, when I ordered my scallions, I got -I think four?? for a ridiculous price (I want to say $10). It wasn't even that good... it was unique, but not all that good. Had it been half the price, my review would be three stars. The place is dirty, old, and odd. Swing by Ivar's to pick up some fried cod to eat by the water. Skip out on SPUDS ...it's a DUD!

Honestly, the food ALONE was well worth the price of the tickets; and the show was just an added bonus! Both were superb and I would HIGHLY recommend attending this spectacle. It's great for taking some out-of-town guests to enjoy a good, long meal with some decent entertainment. - And the shows change quite often, so you're not wasting a ticket if you attend once a year!

I'd recommend this joint with the reservation of any mechanic. I was impressed that I was able to deal DIRECTLY with Bernie, the owner of the place. I like that - and I like the fact that he is honest about what's wrong with your car, but not at all pushy about writing more service. He'll tell you what needs to be done, and it's up to you whether or not you do it. Give 'em a shot!

I'm an avid runner, and finally checked out Super Jock 'n Jill from a friend's recommendation. In the past, I just bought whatever was on sale at Big 5, but the service, fitting, and advice you get from the employees is unmatched. Every employee seems to be very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about running.
I bought a pair, took it home, and was unhappy after a few runs. With NO QUESTIONS ASKED, they apologized and allowed me to fit a new pair, which I am very happy with. ...and they're very reasonably priced. Sure, you might find the same pair of shoes online for $15-20 cheaper, but the service you get here is incredible. Most pairs I tried on were right around $100.
