This locally owned bookstore rivals the other biggies, and beats them hands down. With a large, two-story selection of books to choose from, you will either find what you are looking for (and some things that you didn't know that you were), or they will order it for you. There is a convenient coffee shop located in the store that serves up a yummy latte. Locally produced products, such as jewelry and candles are also offered. Frequent readings are given, making this the most happening bookstore in town.

Wells Fargo in general, and particularly this branch, provide outstanding service. The lines generally move pretty quickly, and if you are in the lobby, you will find it comfortable and can have a cup of joe while you are waiting. The bank employees are quick to acknowledge your presence, and should you be in the drive thru line, you may even get a treat for you dog or a lollypop for you kiddo. The online banking service is exceptional, as they scan your checks so that you can click on the transaction and refresh your memory, as well as printing out any records that you need. Their 24 hour phone bank has solved many a problem for me, and not once in seven years have I received rude service. I highly recommend banking with these folks.

Comales is the restaurant that I took every single client to when they visited Austin, and no one ever walked away disappointed. With lunch specials that run around five bucks, and homemade thick corn tortillas (always specify corn, not flour--they are such a treat!) you will walk away full of delicious authentic Mexican food and not break the bank. Try the Chicken Monterrey, served up with chorizo, grilled onions, tomatos and peppers.

You won't find a buffet offering more choices than Buffet Palace, but the choices come at a cost. Although it is a relatively inexpensive place to eat, you will find that often, the food seems less than fresh, and may even be lukewarm. The quality is acceptable if one is merely wanting to fill their stomach, but for anyone who is interested in the subtle complexities of Asian food will be disappointed. Watch out for the sushi. My 13 year old son got food poisoning from it. Hopefully, this is not common. Stay with the dishes that are piping hot if you go.
