Even though I've been freezing my butt off the past few days, I'm confident that summer is just around the corner. With that in mind, I took my car to Glacier Window Tinting. I've been a customer in the past and have never been disappointed with the service. This time was no different. My tint was done in less than a couple hours, even with it raining outside (moisture hinders the tinting process). My windows looked great and I was told that if any bubbles showed up, that they would soon evaporate once our weather cooperated :-) or the job would be redone to my satisfaction. They offer a life-time warranty with their work.
By the way, I found a 10% off coupon in the telephone book that I took advantage of, never pass up a chance to save a little money :-)

If you are looking for a veterinarian, please consider the South Arlington Animal Clinic. We've been going to this place for over 25 years. The vet, Dr. Lewis Moore, is the kindest, sweetest doctor that I've ever entrusted the care of my animals to. And believe me, over the past 25+ years, that's alot of animals! We've brought animals to him who were on their last leg, and he's nursed them back to life. I even brought him a teacup chihuahua who weighed less than 2 lbs and had contracted heartworm and parvo from it's mother. The outcome looked bleak since an animal this small had never been treated with such drastic meds used to combat these illnesses, but she came thru with flying colors. He also is always there when I need him, if I have an emergency during the day, there isn't the slightest hesitation to fit me in.
Under his current care are my chihuahua, Lilbit, who has diabetes, my cocker spaniel, Nicholas, who has a throid problem, and Austin, my cat, who has Leukemia. My other fur kids are Snoopy (chihuahua), Haley (tortie cat), Lilo (mentally challanged and physically deformed), Casey (survivor of a coyote attack), Hobo (stray that happened upon our humble abode many years ago) and our newest addition, Clyde ( a feral that we had spayed and intended to release, but she wouldn't go back outside) . Yep, we have a house full. We love our little fur babies and would only entrust their care to someone who loves them just as much as we do and we believe we've found that in Dr. Moore.
They have an on-site groomer who we've used with our cocker spaniel and we've always been pleased with the service.

What has seemed like a never ending search for the perfect hair stylist has finally come to an end! Either by chance or by fate, I happened upon Shear Cuts in a shopping center at the corner of Green Oaks and Matlock, in South West Arlington. My stylist, Abby Garcia, now the new owner, was very personable. She greeted me with a smile that made me feel at home. We instantly hit it off and talked as if we'd always been friends. She cut my hair to exactly the image I had in mind and I was extremely statisfied with the service.
This week I managed to get my partner away from the hair stylist that she'd been visiting and to give Abby a try. She also has been converted :-) She loved, I mean really loved, the haircut she recieved and felt at home with the atmosphere in the shop, It kinda reminds me of sitting in your friends bedroom, talking and laughing about the latest goings on and having your friend style your hair. I'm glad I found this place and you can be assured that I will be a long time customer.

We went to the new Studio Movie Grill last night with my partner's mother...an evening out on the town. It was our first experience at the new location in South West Arlington near Parks Mall. It was easy to tell that they are still adjusting the new employees to their job responsibilities. Nothing was explained to us about how it all worked, we had to ask. Once we got the explanation we were directed to our theater.
Upon entering, it was clear to see that they tried to maximize seating at the expense of the customer. The seats were swivel executive chairs with no room to swivel. Once we saw that no one was going to sit near our area, we promptly removed one of the chairs and pushed it back to the next row, giving us adequate space.
The food was good, but a little pricey. But I can accept that when you have the convience of movie and dinner together. Her Mom got the grilled chicken sandwich which looked good...we split the rib basket, which I would not recommend again. Although the ribs were good, they had very little meat on six ribs for $10.50. We also ordered the potato skins which were topped with cheese and lots of bacon and disappeared fast!!! The popcorn was a disappointment, apparently popped hours before showtime, it was stale....so skip on that too. We've heard from others that the burgers are fantastic, so that will be our next order when we visit the Studio Movie Grill again.
All in all, a very pleasant experinece and one that we will take in again....By the way, the movie of choice this adventure was "Night at the Museum" and it was excellent!

When we want a taste of New Orleans music and food, we go to Razzoo's. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is kinda loud so you have to be in the mood for it. But I LOVE the Seafood Combo Platter...just one plate has enough food on it to share with your honey :-) It has fried shrimp, fried catfish and yes, of course, fried crawfish (or crawdads respectively) It's also served with fries, buttery corn on the cob and pups. You can satisfy your wild side with the punch bowl cocktail served in a fish bowl with a gator sticking out of it and straws for everybody at the table. This drink will take ya just to the legal limits :-) And finally for dessert, the Zedeco Dancer...it's a cream cheese filling mixed with whipped cream, poured into a graham cracker crust and topped with strawberries....enough to make ya do that famous Cajun yell heard thru out the swamps of Lousiana!!!!!!
